It's always refreshing to see a leading Conservative voice stepping up to the plate and hitting a home run (metaphorically speaking). The National Review published an editorial yesterday titled Crush This Evil, We've previously noted in several posts that many leaders in both the Catholic Church and several Protestant denominations are beginning to take on this growing problem of online radicalization of our nation's men, leading them on to violence.
The article has an interesting quote by one of my favorite novelists, the late Ian Fleming: “once is happenstance, twice is coincidence, the third time it’s enemy action.” And so it is. The loose confederacy of White Supremacists, 'race realists', alt-Christians, Game/PUA Manospherians, etc. are the avowed enemies of our nation, our faith, our civilization, and our freedoms. They are, in essence, the 21st Century/Tech-Age version of past threats like the Jacobins, the Bolsheviks, the Nazis/Fascists, and the Wahhabi Jihadists.
What many people don't understand about this whole Red Pill movement is that it is not a homegrown ideology. It's base of operations, funding sources, and most of its ideology is from Europe: primarily Hungary, the Baltic States, Western Ukraine, England, and Italy. Whatever they call themselves here, they are at bottom an offshoot of radicals congregating over there. Many of the Red Pill bloggers are headquartered in Europe. Among them are Vox Day, Matt Forney, Paul Ramsey, and it's believed, the old Daily Stormer gang. From those places, they feed anti-Americanism and other toxic ideologies into this country, buoyed by lots of ready cash from foreign-based radicals.
Here's a look at some of the figures behind the curtain. The readers can judge for themselves about the 'Americanism' of the Red Pills:
Daniel Friberg, a Swedish billionaire:
Friberg is the heir to a huge Swedish mining consortium, Wiking Mineral. He served for a time as CEO of the company and packed its board with others of his political bent. Friberg was largely responsible for starting up much of the 'alternative' media; including Arktos Media. In his youth, Friberg was a skinhead and jailed briefly on weapons charges. He was attached back then to so-called 'White Power Heavy Metal' bands. Friberg saw the potential of music and other modern mass-media to promote the Red Pill in popular culture.
Friberg is a firm believer in the Marxist strategy of Metapolitics, and believes in taking over societies in the same way that the Cultural Marxists do. He said recently that: "You can't change politics at the polling booth, you have to change the culture, you have to have people who can write, speak and produce art and media to go out and change culture before you have a political movement...{we are fighting} a war of social transformation, fought on the level of worldview, thought, and culture". To this end, Friberg founded Arktos Publishing, AltRight.com, Red Ice Radio, and subsidizes several Red Pill media outlets.
Jim Dowson is a British billionaire:
Dowson initially studied for the ministry, but later became attracted to the occult. He found a group loosely based on the Knights Templar---a historical organization, but one which has more recently become an occult motif. Dowson made a fortune as head of a marketing firm and has used those marketing skills to promote the Red Pill online. "You're got to remember, most political parties don't know their a**e from their elbow." he boasted once to the Belfast Telegraph, "You bring in a professional marketing team, you know I trained in America {nota bene} ... "If you apply professional marketing techniques and fundraising to a political situation it's a gift."
Dowson was being investigated in the UK for potential ties to right-wing terrorist groups in Eastern Europe. and attempted to emigrate to Hungary. In 2017, the Hungarians ejected him as an Undesirable Alien. While there, he founded Patriot Media, and is known to be orchestrating and funding much of the White Supremacists' social media programs.
Theodore Beale, a.k.a. Vox Day is an American national who emigrated to Italy in the 1990s.
Beale's wealth is not known, however he is the son of Robert Beale, founder of the Comtrol Corporation---an early leader in Electronics technology and software management. The elder Beale drifted into far-right US politics and ultimately went to prison as a tax protester. However, Beale's fortune is still controlled by his family.
Vox Day engages more with the public than do most of these other foreign provocateurs; but as regular readers here realize, he has extensive connections both the US and abroad. Beale is especially useful to the movement because of his understanding of the American political and cultural system. He's made several forays into infiltrating Red Pill ideology into the Mainstream American Media---none of which have been financially successful but all have garnered considerably publicity for the movement. Some have even theorized that Vox' goal wasn't even necessarily to succeed, but to carry out these projects as publicity stunts.
Alexander Dugin is Russian national with extensive ties to the old Soviet oligarchy:
Dugin was the son of a KGB General. His wealth is unknown, but he funnels considerable cash into Far-Right causes abroad, including America. He has appeared on Alex Jones' show, and is known to be good friends with Mike Cernovich, Richard Spencer, and other Red Pills. Despite what the MSM tells us, he is not connected to President Putin. He founded a Russian political party with the very telling title of The National Bolhevik Front. Dugin, true to Bolsheviks of any flavor, is fanatically anti-American.
Just like he favors a synthesis of Bolshevism and Fascism politically, Dugin favors a New-Age religion which is a fusion of Christianity and Gnosticism. "We must rely upon Eastern theology and mystical currents." he said recently, "for the development of our Fourth-Wave Political Theory."
A final word needs be said about Frenchman Alain-Marie de Benoist.
De Benoist is a French academic who coined the term "The Alternative Right." All of the people mentioned above and numerous American Red Pills reference de Benoist as one of their major philosophical influences. De Benoist has spoken at some of Richard Spencer's events. He has a very typical Red Pill ego and often boasts about his superior intellect. When President Reagan was elected, de Benoist remarked: "Better to wear the helmet of a Red Army soldier, than to live on a diet of hamburgers in Brooklyn." Some Conservative.
De Benoist has denounced the American ideal of the 'Melting Pot'; as well as other of our cultural values like free markets and democracy. In fact, some of his anti-American rhetoric reads like a secular version of Iran's 'Great Satan' motif. As for his views on Christianity, de Benoist thoroughly despises it. Thomas Sheehan, an American Professor Emeritus of Religion, wrote of de Benoist: "To summarize: De Benoist's fascism is at odds with Evola's metaphysics but agrees with his social and political philosophy.... [F]or de Benoist, the organic State is an ideal that men can set for themselves and perhaps, with force, establish." Sheehan references here Julius Evola, whom de Benoist often cites as an influence. It's noteworthy that Evola was an Italian Fascist---frequently quoted by Red Pill writers as well.
Judging by the list of philosophical influences which de Benoit claims besides Evola---names including Herder, Pareto, Gramschi, and Nietzsche---it's fairly clear that his writings are a synthesis of what has become standard Red Pill thought in the US.
The important thing here is: Don't let anyone fool you into thinking that these extremists really represent Americanism in any way, shape, or form. Nothing that they teach is based in either Christian Tradition or the US Constitution. Their whole philosophy is based on nothing but a hodge-podge of the detritus of failed European 'utopias', discredited pseudosciences and psychologies, and long-vanished religious heresies.
The National Review is right: we need to recognize this threat to our freedoms for what it is.
Last night, we posted some thoughts on the Dayton Massacre, which happened shortly after the slaughter at an El Paso Walmart. The Dayton story was still fluid at that time, today we have some more information. The killing in Dayton seems to have been a domestically-related incident, as the suspect's sister has been confirmed as one of the victims. The suspect was another nobody from the Dayton area named Connor Betts.
Killings of this type always lead to Feminist male-bashing, so right from the start we'd like to commend the true hero of the evening, Sgt. William C. Knight of the Dayton Police.
Sgt. Knight led a six-member team response team to the site of the shooting in an astounding one minute. All members of his team were men, by the way. Sgt. Knight sent the shooter to Tartarus, saving countless lives and sparing the long-suffering American public another Media Circus around a killer's trial. Betts was a terrorist; Knight is a pro. In shootouts, there is a difference between the two.
Unlike the El Paso Massacre, the Dayton event doesn't seem to have been motivated by racism, though several victims there were indeed Blacks. Interestingly enough, Mexican Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard stated that he was planning to request that the United States deport the El Paso shooter to Mexico to stand trial as a terrorist. (Under Mexican Law, the shooter Patrick Crusius killed Mexican Citizens abroad, making him liable to extradition under international treaties).
I have to admit that I rather like Minister Ebrard's idea despite the fact that Mexico lacks a death penalty. President Trump should agree to his offer. I think that it would put a real bite on certain groups---like the Red Pill Cult---and make them think twice about their liability if standing trial in other countries was a potential consequence of their words and deeds.
And speaking of the Red Pills, the recent spate of domestic and racial violence seems to have emboldened them. Michael Savage posted the shooter's anti-Hispanic Manifesto without commentary on his own blog---with a link to the notorious 8Chan site for "further reading." Likewise, Brett Stevens of the blog Amerika---whom we have caught before excusing racial violence. Stevens posted the entirety of the El Paso Manifesto without commenting on it either---although he titled the article "Alleged El Paso Walmart Shooter Protests Hispanicization Of Texas." The comments which followed were rife with praise for the shooter and anti-Semitic conspiracy-kook nonsense, yet Stevens took no moves against any of these writers.
Vox Day, likewise, has been spinning the shootings as 'fake narratives' and events staged to discredit 'race realists' like himself. Vox claims not to advocate violence, but his posts incite it on a fairly regular basis. In the days leading up to El Paso, just note some of his rhetoric:
"Nationalism is under attack by the globalist gatekeepers and Christian nationalism will be targeted by the Churchians. Well and good. We have the truth, the Bible, history, science, and Jesus Christ on our side. They have lies, usury, and elite pedos on theirs. I like our odds."
"I won't blame the Germans in the slightest when they start attacking both their own traitorous politicians as well as the migrants welcomed by them. And that's definitely "when", not "if". Nor will I fault that mother if she goes after every single CDU politician with a woodchipper. Their idiotic virtue-signaling has led directly to unthinkable horrors for the German nation. Multiculturalism will never, ever, work. Diversity is a curse and a prelude to war. English and Spanish settlers never became American Indians. After centuries of "integration" African-Americans remain a nation apart. After 120 years of immigration to the Middle East, Jews have not become Arabs. There is no Magic Dirt anywhere to be found on the planet."

This was all written by Vox during the days between the Gilroy and El Paso mass-shootings alone. The reader can see from this quite clearly that what Vox and other Red Pills are doing is assuming a position of moral leadership to otherwise lost and alienated men; filling them with their poisonous ideas and then pointing them in the direction of those they hate and saying "Go sicc 'em!" Then, afterwards, when the damage is done they pretend that the whole thing was a 'false flag', which in turn confirms their followers' paranoia.
And this is another thing that Conservatives must start doing: exposing these fake 'Rightists' for what they really are and showing that we have no part in their evil doings.
Finally for any readers in and around Dayton, a Family Assistance Center has been set up at the Dayton Convention Center. So the smoke has barely cleared from the horrific events in El Paso this morning to a second such event in Dayton. And of course, El Paso followed only a few days behind the mass-killing in Gilroy, California. Now, it appears these attacks are not only happening more than once a week---they're happening more than once per day.
The Dayton Shooting is, as of this writing, a breaking story. All we really know at this point is that at least one suspect attacked a swank nightclub district in Dayton with an automatic rifle of some kind and that casualties are believed to be heavy. So anything else at this point is speculative.
However, what is not speculative is that we who believe in our Constitutional Rights as spelled out in the 2nd Amendment are going to have to start taking a hard look at these incidents and realize that we are going to have to start coming up with some solutions. As Conservatives, we're caught between two fires. The Left doesn't want an end to gun violence because it profits them politically by advocating gun control as well as financially by their likely involvement in arms trafficking. The Far Right doesn't want an end to gun violence---in fact they encourage it---because they desire to see the US plunged into another Civil War.
We here at this blog have pointed out many times now that the Left's political machinery in these large cities have failed to any proactive measures to rid the streets of both potentially and actually dangerous elements. And we've also pointed out that the Far Right 'Red Pills' have been radicalizing vulnerable, alienated, and wounded young men and egging on acts of violence. Solutions are going to have to come from Conservatives.
I've often said that we can learn more about Social Sciences from watching a few good Westerns than reading most volumes written on those subjects. I recently heard a radio episode of Gunsmoke from 1959---a year when public support for gun control was even higher than today. In that episode, Marshal Dillon was trying to stop a gunfight from happening. A man seeking revenge for his brother's killing was trying to provoke a fight from the men responsible so it would be self-defense. (This was fairly common in the Old West). Matt Dillon was frustrated at not being able to stop it and said:
"I wish there was a way that I could take their guns and force them to talk to each other."
To which Deputy Chester Proudfoot replied: "But you can't do that, Mr. Dillon. Carrying a gun is our Right as Americans."
"I know that, Chester." Matt said angrily, "But it won't continue to be a Right if we can't do something to stop these pointless, stupid killings."
As usual, Matt Dillon was right. If matters continue on our current trajectory, the American people are going to become desperate enough to favor about any form of gun control that political opportunists can conceive of. That's why we as Conservatives need to face this issue squarely and start coming up with some answers before it gets to that point.
In what's become a fairly routine story in Postmodern America, today a radicalized loser attacked a Walmart in El Paso with a semi-automatic rifle. Exact casualties aren't known but they are extensive. As it turns out, the suspect is another follower of the online Red Pill Cult. However, with their usual compassion and sensitivity, the same sensationalist Corporate Media who falsely reported incorrect stories about multiple shooters initially are desperately trying to use the event to smear President Trump. It would be a lot more useful, of course, if they used the mass media to help the victims; but..."never let a good crisis go to waste," as they say.
As it turns out, the suspect praised the recent mass-shooting in Christchurch, New Zealand and is a big fan of Red Pill Cultist and general political gadfly, Mike Cernovich:
Cernovich isn't exactly a big Trump supporter these days. in fact, he never really was. Cernovich---like many of his fellow Red Pills---is simply an opportunist. The El Paso shooting suspect's online biography shows how well he absorbed Cernovich's core philosophy:
RT News also reported that the shooter allegedly was raving about 'Gamergate' during the rampage. The shooter is also a so-called 'Race Realist': a neologism that the Red Pills coined to disguise their overt racism. The shooter stated in his now-deleted online 'Manifesto' that the attack was a “response to [the] Hispanic invasion of Texas" another mythology created by the Alt-RINOs.
Let's take a step back and scrutinize this whole 'invasion' notion. The idea was really popularized during the last two decades by Catholic-hating radio host Michael Savage. Since then, it's been picked up and spread by online radicals. Augmented heavily by public education's dumbing-down of history and recent Soros-backed publicity stunts like the so-called Migrant Caravans, the 'invasion' notion has been passed over with little scrutiny in the light of History.
The main geographic centers of the Hispanic population in the United States are Florida, the Southwest, and Puerto Rico. These areas were all colonized by Spain during the 16th Century.
Florida did not become part of the US until 1819.
Texas and the Southwest did not become part of the US until 1849.
Puerto Rico did not become part of the US until 1898.
And something that Liberals like to keep from telling everybody: the US Government never officially recognized Hispanics as a separate race until the 1970s. Before then, they were accounted statistically as Whites as they were of Spanish descent. Racism against Hispanics is actually a fairly recent phenomenon. Hispanics never suffered widespread segregation or racial laws on level which Blacks or some American Indians did.
But none of this matters to the Whacko Left-Wing who've been listening to an orgy of race-baiting all week with the Democratic Debates. Interestingly, the shooter referenced the debates in his 'manifesto'. But I doubt as we'll hear a peep from any of them about how their own vitriol might have contributed to the shooter's paranoia.
Meanwhile, though, the Church and the real Conservatives among us are taking concrete action. The US Conference of Catholic Bishops issued the following statement: "as people of faith, we continue to pray for all the victims, and for healing in all these stricken communities, but the Texas shooting a week after a California shooting shows that something remains fundamentally evil in our society."
The Hope Border Institute, which works closely with the Dioceses of El Paso and Las Cruces is organizing humanitarian efforts as we speak:
They also announced an interfaith prayer vigil for those in the area to be held tonight.

No: we're not talking about the Democratic Party Debates, although that was pretty bad too. It seems that on a live British TV show this morning, a woman named Elizabeth Hoad married a dog; a Golden Retriever named Humphrey.
Sitting here in Trump Country on a hot day, quietly sitting in front of the computer and drinking iced tea---I wondered: what could anyone say about this story seriously? One of the biggest challenges a blogger faces sometimes is trying to say something substantive about events that are really too absurd for commentary.
When reading through the comments after the story, however, I found both the answer and some hope. The comments prove that not everybody is insane because they still have a sense of humor. And that sometimes one just has to laugh at this stuff. So, for our readers benefit, enjoy what some real people had to say:

So it was reported today on RT News that some Hollywood figure named Mario Lopez visited a Conservative talk-show recently and made some remark to the effect that toddler-age children shouldn't be making decisions about gender identity. This, of course, is just common sense; but the Rainbow Troll Army went on a social media blitzkrieg followed by a barrage of NPC and Ameroboob outrage. Lopez summarily slid down on his knees and begged forgiveness on NBC calling his own words "ignorant and insensitive."
Trash Culture has really reached another nadir. I actually don't know which is worse: forcing Lopez to apologize for speaking the truth or the fact that he actually apologized for it. Either way, this is a shameful episode on our already bleak cultural landscape.
I don't feel much sympathy for Hollywood yo-hos; but I really do feel for medical and psychiatric professionals who have to bite their tongues and play along with this PC-imposed quackery when it goes against all of their scientific training and their ethical codes to do so.
Just think about it for a few moments. The Sexual Anarchists tell us that gender identity is something that we are born with and is independent of our actual biology. So why are over 99% of transgenders going from biologically male to female? Shouldn't the percentages be equal if gender identity is inborn?
Let's assume for a moment that gender identity is unrelated to biology. Where does it come from then? From psychology?
NPC: "No, that would be Gender Essentialism. and we know that male and female psychologies are the same."
NW: "Then where does gender identity come from?"
NPC: "Gender is an artificial social construct."
NW: "If that's so, then aren't people who choose a different gender actually being programmed by society, too?"

If someone decides to change their gender, they do so through surgery and Hormone Replacement Treatment. Doesn't that involve biology? They also have to go through specialized counseling. Doesn't that involve psychology? The Sexual Anarchists say that so-called 'gender identity disorder' isn't a 'disease which can be cured'; yet they employ medical and psychiatric science to effect a gender transition. Yet they won't allow Medicine or Psychiatry to treat it by helping a patient adjust to his biological gender. This in spite of the fact that in the 1960s, psychiatrists documented that so-called 'LGTBQ' patients were cured and restored to normal heterosexual lives in about 4 out of 5 cases.
Then there is the question about how safe these medical procedures really are---especially when quacks are talking about giving them to children. One of the rare recent studies done on the subject indicates that hormone replacement so-called 'therapy' increases the risk of cardiovascular complications. Consider that there is already considerable debate about whether hormones introduced into agricultural products are safe for human consumption: yet we're to believe that the hormones of one gender can be transplanted safely and effectively into another human body?
The suicide rates among LGBTQ's are high; the life expectancy rates are low---and yet medical professionals are prevented from curing them and Media jugheads are promoting more 'acceptance' of the disorder.
So who's being ignorant and insensitive here? Some food for thought...
Just shortly after another high-profile murder of a woman who paid for a poor relationship choice with her life, we're learning the details of a second. Ally Kostial, a 21-year old from St. Louis and a student at the University of Mississippi was found murdered in a remote area not far from Oxford, Mississippi.
Police have arrested another student, a dirtbag named Brandon Theesfeld, and charged him with Ally's murder. As it turns out, Theesfeld was Ally's boyfriend. The University announced that it had suspended Theesfeld; obviously can't pay tuition while in jail (which is about the only reason that any American university ever suspends anybody these days). Local news affiliates KMOV and WLBT interviewed some students who knew the suspect and here are some interesting observations that they shared:
“I truly believe that he manipulated her emotionally to have her believe that he loved her the same way she did, and I think he had her on the hook until the very last second. He was known around campus as a misogynist and he led her on A LOT, enough to where it could be considered emotional abuse.”
“Ally would talk about how crazy aggressive he was. I don’t know how many times she called me about him. About how he was treating her and about how he acted when they were together. We all told her to end it with him, but she always said she saw the good in him.”
"He harassed her for years, took advantage of her for years, I spent countless nights holding Ally close drying her tears about this monster for years."
Another girl who briefly dated Theesfeld described him as: "odd, very sketchy, like shady, as well as creepily persistent. It freaked me out."
Where have we heard this before? Reading these quotes is like reading what nearly any Game/PUA site tells men to do in their relationships with women. It's not known whether Theesfeld read such blogs and websites; but his behavior---the manipulation, the good guy/bad boy schtick; having other 'options'; keeping her 'on the hook'---is textbook Game. The now-defunct blog Chateau Heartiste even had such tactics listed in the form of religious commandments.
Game is designed to exploit vulnerabilities in female psychology for purposes of cynical sexual and other manipulations. It's often portrayed by its proponents as a male defense against Feminism. Actually, it's not---and never has been---the opposite of Feminism, but its concomitant. And Feminism is just as much to blame for Ally's death as the Red Pill.
Ally was no doubt taught by her 'progressive' teachers and professors that the notion that men and women have different psychologies was a myth; hence she had no idea that she had the kinds of vulnerability which Theesfeld so expertly exploited. And like many other younger women today, she was no doubt inculcated with a plethora of other mythologies which led her to overestimate radically her own abilities while underestimating male capacities for good and for evil. Thus, she ignored all the really good men around her and fell for a scumbag in whom "she saw the good."
In male psychology, the capacity for good and evil runs far more to extremes than in women (contrary to feminists and Hollywood idiots say). This is why History is so heavily dominated by men. The spectrum of male character runs from the Bayard Knight to Charles Manson. This is also why an earlier generation of girls were carefully taught by their female mentors to choose men who had the respect of and a good reputation among other men. The Feminist misandryists teach women to the opposite; and like Ally Kostial the women who do so not infrequently meet with disaster.
On the night that she was killed, Ally left alone sometime after Midnight and was last seen near a bar in Oxford. She didn't even take rudimentary common-sense precautions for her own safety---and this again is a result of Feminist miseducation. Feminists will no doubt snort that "well, if she wants to be out at any hour without fear of molestation, that's her right as a woman!" Yes, I agree. It should be safe for women to be out alone anywhere anytime. But the facts are simply different than the ideal.
Let's educate our Feminist readers with a few bits of actual reality:
1. Running around in pink hats screaming and going on 'Slutwalks' do not deter psychopathic and predatory men from being psychopathic and predatory.
2. Despite what Hollywood says, the average woman cannot physically defend herself against a man half her size---let alone men who are two or three times bigger. If the attacker is fueled by narcotics, her chances of successful self-defense are even lower.
3. University propaganda that the safety of women is their 'highest priority' is a lie.
4. Also contrary to Hollywood, the number of women victimized by random strangers and serial killers is fairly low. The vast majority are victims of men whom they know or at least of men who know of them.
5. I know of only one case during the last half-century of a group of women who were successfully attacked and abducted. All others, they were off by themselves when the attacker saw his opportunity and struck.
The case of Ally Kostial is a tragic example of how the Gender Wars---fomented by the likes of Hillary Clinton during the 1990s and kept brewing by Feminist misandryists and Red Pill misogynists---is not only crippling real relationships but destroying real lives. We as a society need to take a hard look at how we're simultaneously radicalizing men and dumbing-down women. Because that is the real reason behind this supposed 'crisis' in relationship-related killings.
