On Friday, The Washington Post published on Friday a leaked report, which somehow got past Jeff Bezos' censors, alleging that Pentagon overlord Pete Hegseth had given a spoken order to “kill everybody” aboard a vessel carrying suspected drug traffickers in the Caribbean. The US Senate, which never has concerned itself much with extrajudicial murders before, apparently came down with sudden, involuntary spasm of Conscience and decided to put aside muh Epstein Files (for now) and look into the matter. Hegseth responded predictably:
...which shows once again that our so-called Secretary of War has completely lost his marbles (assuming that he had any to begin with). Of course, the Senators should have questioned Hegseth's willingness to violate International Law and the rules of Civilized Warfare during his Confirmation Hearings instead of focusing on sexual gossip; maybe the at least 83 people slaughtered in the Gulf of America on Hegseth's paranoid orders would still be alive.
The initiative to investigate Hegseth is, surprisingly, bipartisan. Although there hasn't been any reporting confirming this, rumors on Social Media are claiming that Veterans' Groups and other former military-connected organizations are driving the call to hold this rogue agency accountable. Whether that is so or not, we urge all veterans to contact their relative organizations and demand the removal of this menace before he does even more damage. Granted, actually expecting the Senate to do anything may be overly optimistic, but they have been known to respond to public pressure on occasion.
