In their attempts to try and pretend the 2026 Midterm 'Elections' as something that's relevant to anybody, the Mainstream Corporate Media has been pulling all sorts of cheap stunts and marketing angles to keep the populace duly distracted. An increasing number of networks are even doing running ESPN-style big-screen coverage to increase the Political Class' never-ending quest to gain support from the Lowest Common Social Denominator.
The vested financial interests who actually run the U.S. Government don't care about whichever side of the Uniparty wins, since they own both factions. In our system of Inverted Totalitarianism, duping the public (which, sadly, isn't an especially difficult task these days) into believing that we still have a functioning Constitutional Republic and a Free-Market economic system. Throughout this decade, there has been, however, some dispute among the Ruling Class as to whether they should stay the course with Managed Democracy or take the Accelerationist approach. During the 2020s, the latter view has become the dominant one: although the Controlled Opposition lately has been peddling a version of Accelerationism under the rather misleading term Democratic Socialism. All that Democratic Socialism actually does is give the State a more proactive role in establishing Authoritarianism, whereas Bush 3.0's current policy is allowing nominally 'private' Corporations to impose it without any political oversight or interference.
Either way, the Hollywood and Madison Avenue shylocks---who work indiscriminately for Democrats and Republicans---understand that the job of controlling the population is much easier when the populace is distracted or divided. They also understand well their target audience and how to play to the worst elements and emotions in our decaying culture and to avoid anything like appeals to reason or morality. Cultivating Paranoia is one such tactic---immigrant invasions, Chinese spy-balloons, the Scamdemic---all are examples of how easily manipulated the American Public is through these means. Envy is another powerful tool: mainly concerning sex and money. Americans don't get enough of either; and they bitterly envy anyone who they think is getting more of either. This 'Election Cycle' the Epstein Psyop and muh gas prices are domininating public discourse and the news cycles just like Hunter Biden's laptop pictures and muh egg prices dominated the last one.
(Someone recently suggested that we could do the ultimate Psyop by reporting that Chinese spy-balloons are tapping into school surveillance cameras to obtain pornographic images of children; and that the only defense that Americans have against such things is bringing back Mask Mandates. I wouldn't want to do that, though, because it might actually work 😔).
Thus we've seen the Democrats sweep aside all manner of deeply concerning issues with one of their candidates, but react with alacrity when allegations of sexual impropriety were raised against their Senatorial candidate in Maine. We saw the Republicans do the same in 2024 during the North Carolina Governor's race.
To capitalize on more of these distractions, Congress pushed aside non-issues like wholesale purges of the Federal Government, militarizing secret police forces to act like stormtroopers on American streets, committing and facilitating War Crimes across the planet, and massive wealth-transfers to interview Oligarch Bill Gates over his alleged involvement with Jeffrey Epstein. That's something that we told you about here in 2021. In the interests of full disclosure, that article was based on information from 2011 and before.
Of course, our article got little attention because we were focused on things like Gates and Epstein doing things like money laundering, promoting transhumanism and covert biological experiments, and Epstein's connections to the Great Reset Agenda and didn't think that things like what-position-Bill-does-the-deed-in and with whom were especially relevant. Congress and the Corporate Media weren't interested much in those things either, despite exulting over Gates and Epstein like they'd discovered some new revelation that had been kept secret for years. They probably should have focused on things like Gates' role in the Scamdemic; his machinations with his crony Interior Secretary Doug Burgum to seize Federal Lands, his shadow involvement with data-mining mass-surveillance programs, his suspected participation of Color Revolutions and rigged elections abroad, etc. Such matters though don't get the headlines these days.
During the Scamdemic, the Democrats floated the idea of suspending Elections, and the Republicans have been floating it again; with both sides accusing the other of trying to 'steal Elections' (as if the Oligarchy doesn't already do that); and vowing to employ the much-abused mechanism of Impeachment to carry out a coup d'etat under barely legal pretenses. Those things are never successful, but they do give Congress the appearance of working in the public interest.
In reality, of course, it's only a matter of time before the Oligarchs decide to do away with even the pretense of Representative Government and cancel Elections altogether: the American Public shows little threat of resisting Tyranny. The current Administration seems content (for now) of greatly restricting voting and other forms of manipulation. We'll see how it plays out; but Authoritarianism is likely in our future either way.
