Free speech and censorship issues hit both North America and Europe yesterday. In Norway, one of the few real advocates for Men's Rights left in the Manosphere---blogger Eivind Berge---was awarded damages for violations of his free speech rights by a Norwegian Court. The Gulating District Court of Appeals ruled against the Norwegian Government, citing its wrongful arrest and imprisonment of Berge and awarded the blogger the equivalent of about $4,500 in compensation.
As Berge describes them in his article (linked above), the speech laws in Norway are very similar to those in the United States. There has to be a direct causal connection between speech and illegal activity before speech becomes illegal. Historically in the US, such cases actually more commonly fell under Criminal Conspiracy statutes than those pertaining to actual illegal speech. The Norwegian Supreme Court, in overturning Berge's original case, ruled that what is published on a blog are private and personal thoughts of the writer; and as such there was no compelling interest in Norway to suppress that kind of speech.
Eivind Berge: Defender of Free Speech
One would logically assume that American Manosphere writers would be celebrating the Berge verdict, but not so. Instead, they are calling 'censorship' Twitter's decision yesterday to ban several obnoxious Nazi/MRA trolls. Unfortunately, in the US the views of the Nazis and the American Men's Rights Movement are becoming practically indistinguishable. Twitter is a private company with its own Terms of Use policies; and although Twitter doesn't comment on its decision to ban users for privacy reasons, many industry insiders believe that the ban was related less to the political views expressed than to the relentless spamming, doxxing, and other harassment that the guilty parties were engaging in.
Nazi Richard Spencer was the biggest target of the Twitter ban, along with all his affiliated front-groups. Spencer had prominent Red Pills Steve Sailer and the homosexual activist Jack Donovan among his regular writers. Notorious White Nationalist trolls---and self-confessed Red Pills John Rivers and Ricky Vaughn were banished. Pax Dickinson; who is a regular follower of Red Pills Vox Day and Roosh Valizdeh was also banned. Dickinson was formerly CTO of Business Insider who was fired in 2013 for using Twitter to say things like:
"In 'Passion of Christ II, Jesus was raped by a pack of niggers. It's his own fault for dressing like a whore though." and "Who has more dedication, ambition and drive? Kobe only raped one girl, LeBron raped an entire city. +1 for LeBron!"
Pax Dickinson: Wall Street Abuser of Free Speech
Spencer and Dickinson were outraged by the ban; apparently American Red Pills haven't figured out that censorship only applies to government and government-funded entities. Spencer went so far as to claim "Corporate Stalinism" although he regularly violated Twitter's policies. Manosphere bloggers and Twitter trolls Mike Cernovich and Matt Forney---evidently jealous that Twitter didn't consider them important enough for a ban---wrote of coming purges, etc.
The Far Left didn't fare any better today. Matt Harrigan, CEO of Packetsled was forced to resign after making some rather detailed assassination threats against President-Elect Trump online. Dickinson and Harrigan are perfect examples of why Corporate America needs a swamp-draining as badly as the government does. Also Twitter cracked down on Rutgers faculty member Kevin Allred. Allred, an Adjunct Lecturer in Rutgers' Department of Women's and Gender Studies claimed today that randomly shooting Whites would help get the 2nd Amendment repealed.
In case Allred hadn't noticed, white police officers have been getting randomly shot all over the country this year. And it does violate Twitter's policies to threaten public officials like Harrigan and Allred did.
Kevin Allred: Defender of Left-Wing Campus Speech Codes
Allred was in the news about a year ago for offering a class called 'Politicizing Beyounce'. Tuition at Rutgers starts at about $11,000 a year and taxpayers cough up $1 billion a year for the privilege of receiving an 'education' under the likes of Kevin Allred.
Berge's case showed that the Government has no authority restricting freedom of speech; what the Twitter cases showed is that defending Free Speech involves public self-policing. It is up to us as free citizens to expose and condemn extremist rhetoric; it's not up to the government to define what constitutes extremist speech and use the power of the State to enforce it.
Angry Leftists---always eager to find new venues to impose their will on others---are taking out their frustrations on the Electoral College System. Keep in mind that all of the popular vote hasn't been counted yet; but nonetheless the Left believes that Clinton won it: according to them, therefore, Clinton deserves to be president.
There's even a petition online to get Electors to certify the election to change their votes to Clinton---which has no chance whatsoever of happening.
Senator Barbara Boxer of California furiously scribbled off a Senate Bill this week to abolish the Electoral College System---apparently unaware that this would require a Constitutional Amendment. That means that the proposal would have to be ratified by at least 34 states. Senator Boxer's proposal has about as much chance of success as the online petition has.
"The Electoral College is an outdated, undemocratic system that does not reflect our modern society and it needs to change immediately!" Senator Boxer fumed to a sympathetic press. It's very typical of the American Left to support the US Constitution up to the point that it obstructs their political goals. The Electoral College System is neither undemocratic, nor outdated. Soros and Podesta-backed protestors are spinning the 2016 Election as though Trump took advantage of some legal technicality to win; just as they did in the 2000 Election.
Under our Constitution, individuals, sovereign states, and the Federal Government are guaranteed and assigned certain jurisdictional rights and responsibilities. This issue was addressed by our Founding Fathers long ago. Some populous states favored direct democracy both in representation and in national elections. Some smaller states favored each state to be represented equally. The Founders created a two-tiered compromise. This is why we have a bicameral Legislative Branch today: where the House is directly democratic and the Senate representative equally of each State. Up until 1914, when the 17th Amendment was passed, Senators were not even directly elected by the people but appointed by State governments. The purpose of the bicameral legislature is to have one house representing the interests of the people-at-large; the other to represent the interests of the States-at-large.
The Electoral College System is based on the same principle. Without it, a few heavily-populated urban centers could or would dominate national politics. Our Founders feared this kind of loss of local control. The Left is always complaining about diversity; but there is no other way to represent the diverse cultures and economies that comprise our Republic unless it be apportioned by State. Systems like the Electoral College and the US Senate actually do work.
We don't need to change the Constitution because a few sore losers didn't get their way. It's bad enough already that the Left continually tries to (and sometimes succeeds at) using the Judicial Branch to impose their agendas when legislative means don't go their way. Hopefully that will be a reform that the new Administration will attempt to resolve. But for now, the Electoral College System works fine.
After nearly a week of post-election follies, outraged citizens of the Prozac Nation are now displaying their dissatisfaction with democracy by wearing diaper-pins. "In the wave of reactions to Donald Trump's election as the 45th President of the US, safety-pins have taken on a whole new meaning in this country." announced PBS, a nonprofit US media network. "Some Americans are wearing safety-pins as a symbol of solidarity with victims of racism, 'homophobia', and religious discrimination. People have spoken out on Twitter to say that they are an ally of marginalized groups."
The general idea behind this rather odd fashion accessory is to signal to other panic-stricken Leftists that they have a personal safe space around someone else wearing the device. There is some irony in the fact that those who've reviled Trump throughout the whole campaign as a Nazi, should choose to wear an emblem segregating themselves as political dissidents on their own accord. But no one ever said that the Left is logical.
The trend began shortly before the weekend, when Twitter users began posting photographs of themselves wearing diaper-pins and boasting things like "until people I know and love can feel safe again."
Most of the diaper-pin wearers could not explain to the Corporate Media exactly why they or their acquaintances felt unsafe, except it that their fears have some vague relationship to Donald Trump. The fact that Obama brought us to the brink of WW3 with China; nearly let 90 atomic missiles fall into the hands of Jihadists; caused urban riots and mass violence along with economic recession doesn't seem to have caused them the same insecurity.
Predictably, too, not all Left-Wing extremists are happy about the diaper-pin statement. The Huffington Post from some Code Pink activist loudly complaining that White heterosexuals share a collective guilt in electing Trump; hence none of that demographic has a right to wear a diaper-pin. Some Black Militants claimed online that they were offended at the notion of seeking solidarity with non-Blacks. And so on.
Nonetheless, several celebrities appeared in public sporting diaper-pins, and the ACLU and much of the Corporate Media is officially promoting their use. New York Magazine, owned by the family of late Wall Street billionaire robber baron Bruce Wasserstein, stated:
"As stories of post-election violence and hate speech circulate online, some people have begun wearing safety-pins to identify themselves as allies in the fight against intolerance, and to show solidarity with women, LGBT people, immigrants, and people of color feeling frightened by Trump's presidency and the vitriol some of his followers display."
Strange that New York Magazine didn't take the same interest in James O'Keefe's expose showing that the DNC was deliberately inciting violence at Trump rallies.
The Cultural Marxists unleashed several 'color revolutions' on innocent countries; it's probably fitting that a 'Diaper Revolution' would appear in this one. There's no better symbol for the effete Left than a box of Pampers.
The corrupt American Academic Establishment became an international laughing-stock throughout the world this week for its reaction to the Trump election. Not only did these crooks organize anti-Trump campus riots, there were some behind-the-scenes policy adjustments which---when exposed by foreign media sources---were roundly hooted by citizens of countries who actually take education seriously.
RT News reported that across the US, major universities and colleges were "delaying classes and exams, and offering stress-healing therapies after Trump victory." Then, they present us with a humiliating picture of what three decades of dumb-downed schools, dysfunctional family policy, Corporate Media indoctrination, and Political Correctness has actually produced.
For example, Cornell University set up a post-election Cry-In where university staff provided distraught Clinton supporters with tissues and hot chocolate (all courtesy of New York State and US taxpayers). Cornell has an endowment of over $6 billion and tuition rates start at over $32,000 per year. Justice Ruth Bader-Ginsberg, Keith Olbermann, and Bill Nye are specimens of what Cornell has produced in return for this kind of money.
At the University of Michigan, exams have been postponed due to post-election trauma. Pyschology Professor John Snodgrass---who draws a $128,000 annual salary at UM, has delayed midterm exams "due to serious stress issues." The University of Michigan has also opened safe spaces where grown men and women are provided with things like play-doh and crayons to relieve their stress.
"People looked tired." noted Political Science Professor Justin Phillips of Columbia University. "It looked like some people had been crying. The stress was very palpable in the room." Phillips is a tenured associate professor at Columbia whose most recent 'scholarly' article is titled Gay Rights in Congress. Annual tuition at Columbia starts at $51,000.
Tufts University, one of the most useless universities in America despite its $1.5 billion annual endowment, offered arts and crafts therapy for grieving students. The University of Kansas offered therapy dogs and safe spaces. Kansas has a $1.8 billion annual endowment, despite scoring in the bottom half of world university rankings. The University of Kansas was much in the news in 2016 after a professor was fired for expressing skepticism about institutional racism in May; and some Conservative students were beaten by a mob in October. Last week, the University revised its speech code to ban the use of gender pronouns.
A Yale professor who was too ashamed to give his name to RT News after Yale postponed Midterm exams told reporters that he received communications from students who "rightly or wrongly fear for their own families."
Donald Trump really has his work cut out for him if he hopes to 'Make America Great Again' out of material like this. The American people are going to have to decide to be great against. Trauma and stress? There are videos at places like Youtube site Syrian Girl Partisan showing Syrian women salvaging equipment from bombed-out schools and holding classes by candlelight in caves. Something like 1/5 Syrian children under 12 have lost at least one close family member to Jihadist barbarism. And as a side note, Syrian high-schoolers won seven awards at this year's International Mathematics and Physics Olympiads.
And all of these American Academic parasites---dumbing down our schools and surfeiting on their bloated salaries---are all wholehearted supporters of Obama and Clinton and their policies in the Middle East.
The American people had better pulling their collective heads out of their drug-induced stupors, stop listening to all the Corporate Media hogwash about American Exceptionalism and start facing the reality that our elite institutions of higher learning are academic wastelands turning out generations of people wholly unfit for self-government. Let us hope that Trump's promise to drain the swamp starts with emptying the cesspool that has become modern Academia among his top priorities.
As Conservatives, we are well aware of the divisive and perverted on the Left who are refusing to accept Trump as president. More subtle, but no less dangerous to the Conservative Movement are extremists on the Right; who are using the Trump victory to foment strife and sow chaos, just as effectively as the Left. Both must be confronted and exposed.
Even many of the 'Never-Trump' faction have graciously conceded to Trump and seek to work with him in his policies. Trump called for unity at his Acceptance Speech and vowed that 'the forgotten ones' will be forgotten no more. But some on the Far Right are not satisfied with this. Since Trump's election, many bloggers---almost universally of the 'Red Pill' stripe---have made common cause with groups like The New Black Panthers, Black Lives Matter, and Code Pink in obstructing Trump's goals. Now unlike the Leftists, the Red Pills claim to be pro-Trump. They are not questioning the legitimacy of the election---they are instead attempting to bring the hysterical fears of the Left into actual reality. These bloggers and pundits want things like Race War and bloody crackdown actually to happen, and are pushing the narrative in that direction. And they get plenty of Corporate Media attention---just like they did during the campaign---to stir up Left-Wing fears.
Despite their posturing, this element represents neither Conservatives---whom they derisively refer to as Cuck-servatives---nor Christians---whom they frequently claim are co-opted by Feminism. They are not seeking common cause with Conservatives; but their own admission, they intend to replace it with their own perverted philosophy rooted in the Game Cult. The so-called Manosphere and the Red Pill Philosophy is the common network in which they all operate. These are revolutionaries; out to destroy American values---just as surely as George Soros, the Podesta Brothers, and Dan Savage hope to do.
Excerpts from some of their posts today illustrate this tendency quite clearly. Andrew Anglin (The Daily Stormer blog), advertises that his site is the #1 Alt-Right and Pro-Genocide Website. Anglin is a Red Pill and frequently praises Manosphere/Game Cult sites. Today, his leading headlines read: "President Trump: 2-3 Million Burrito People Gone Immediately" and "Jews Rally Against Trump: 'Not Our President'. " Anglin's blog is liberally decorated with swastikas and anti-Jewish caricatures.
Theodore Beale (aka Vox Day) who, along with anti-Catholic bigot Michael Savage writes for World Net Daily, and runs the blogs Vox Populi, Alpha Game Plan, as well as heading Infogalactic, Castalia House Publishing, and many other assorted Crypto-Nazi fronts; wrote two posts today. In one, he denounces interracial dating as mudsharking and that it 'typically doesn't end well for the White women involved." I suppose Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas---a mudshark with a white wife---may think otherwise, however.
Even worse, Vox writes today that "there is an important lesson here for the more cuckish Conservatives. Neither the various Asian identity groups, nor the Jews are on the side of Whites...This is why the Alt-Right is not going to go away but will gradually become more influential in the White Party, which is now the proper name for the Republican Party. The Alt-Right's conceptual models, which are based on identity rather than ideology, not only describe past and current events much more accurately than mainstream alternatives, but provide much more accurate predictive models as well."
Can there be any clearer admission that the Alt-Right is an anti-Conservative movement than this?
Finally, James Weidman, a former NGO bureaucrat who runs the Chateau Heartiste Red-Pill Cult blog writes, after referring to The Affordable Healthcare Act as 'Gaymullatocare', that "the Age of Ideology is over. The only pertinent question is: What is good for my people? The Age of Tribes is back. Now is time for choosing sides."
Heartiste stumps for re-naming the Alt-Right the Heritage America Party, but it's time to call it for what it really is: The Nazi Party. This group spits on the ideological heritage given to us by a few Jews---like Barry Goldwater and Milton Friedman for example, and re-define Conservatism blatantly Nazi motifs. These people are playing right into the hands of George Soros, David Brock and other Left-Wing extremists who wish to cast the Trump in the most vile terms imaginable; and their extremist rhetoric is helping the anti-Trump Riots---which both they and the Far Left desire.
Within a day following Donald Trump's electoral victory, Syrian President Dr. Bashir Assad issued a statement through his spokeswoman Bouthaina Shaaban that Syria might be willing to negotiate with the US should Trump keep his campaign promises regarding the Middle East. Trump had stated during the campaign that he would abandon the policy of regime-change in Syria to focus on fighting ISIS and other terrorist gangs.
On Friday, Trump stated in an interview with the Corporate Media outlet The Wall Street Journal that he was willing to accept Assad's olive-branch for the greater good of defeating international terrorist gangs.
"I have an opposite view from many regarding Syria." the President-Elect said, "Syria is fighting ISIS, and we have to get rid of ISIS. Russia is aligned with Syria, and now there is Iran, which has become powerful because of our policies, aligned with Syria...we should also be determined to fight ISIS instead of pursuing regime change."
Trump's words were welcomed throughout the Allied Nations' press corps. Syrian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ali Al-Ahmad said that his government was hopeful, but "cautiously optimistic' that the US will become a real partner in the fight against the Jihad.
"Syria cannot hastily say that Trump's position will be that of the new Administration since his positions are the personal ones of him and his advisors. But we do hope that he can make the Pentagon, the CIA, and the Neoconservatives follow his policies." Al-Ahmad told SANA on Saturday.
Ash Carter, chief of Obama's LGBTQ-friendly Pentagon had a much different reaction. In a humiliating public meltdown---reminiscent of his embarrassing performance at this year's Singapore Summit---Carter fumed on CBS This Morning over Trump's reversal of Obama's failed Syria Policy.
"The Russians aren't doing what we need to do and think ought to be done in Syria!" Carter bellowed to sympathetic Corporate Media interviewer Norah O'Donnell, "They're helping Assad! The Russians have it completely backwards...I will not recommend to the incoming president that we work with, or associate ourselves with Russia until they start doing the right thing,"
None of which, of course, made any more sense than anything else Carter has ever said or done regarding Syria. But Carter's hysteria is probably justified; if Trump's policy-shift in Syria is indeed genuine, it will tangentially expose the network of corruption in which the previous Administration has been engaged in there. And when that happens, Ash Carter, Hilary Clinton, John Kerry, the Podesta Brothers, Dick Gephardt, General Joseph Votel and many others are going to be in a lot of trouble.
It was also announced that Putin and Trump will have a meeting in the near future; no doubt Syria will be a topic of discussion.
Portland, Oregon was once, long ago, an idyllic city on the banks of the Columbia River and nicknamed the 'Rose City', both for its rose gardens and the wild roses growing naturally in the vicinity. Portland was once a major US vacation spot in the decades prior to the Second World War. Sadly, today the city has become a cesspool of political corruption and political correctness; Portland now boasts the nation's 4th highest drug-addiction rate; the 9th highest percentage of homosexuals; and a nationwide reputation as a bum-magnet.
Portland has also become the epicenter of post-election violence in the US. Tonight, there were shootings on the Morrison Bridge as the riots entered their 4th day. The Corporate Media---which has been egging on these outbursts nationwide---is downplaying considerably the violence and property destruction going on in Portland (and elsewhere).
To make matters worse, elements of the Far Right have been spinning the Portland Riots to advance their White Nationalist and Red-Pill agendas. At the forefront of this propaganda campaign, stands radio shock-jock Michael Savage of the Savage Nation. Savage, whose real name is Michael Wiener, took to the airwaves yesterday to blame the Portland Riots on "illegal aliens" and other minorities in between his pompous claims of being the architect of Trump's victory.
Before we continue, let us look at some on-the-ground, real-time footage of the Portland Riots and note how many Hispanics, Blacks, Moslems, Asians, etc., seem to present:
These crowds seem to be rather conspicuous precisely for their absence of minorities. This---despite both the Corporate and Alt-Right media distortions---are fairly typical crowd compositions of a West Coast riot/demonstration. Angry, bitter, entitled White Leftists educated in politically-correct American schools and universities to hate Freedom and every other traditional American value. And promoted by White Establishment Liberals like George Soros and John Podesta.
This isn't the first time that Savage has exploited a riot to engage in race-baiting. He blamed this Summer's violent anti-Trump riot in San Jose, California on illegal Mexican immigrants too. The San Jose Mercury-News identified one foreign-born rioter: an exchange student from Malaysia. Savage also blamed the assassination attempt on Trump in Las Vegas as the work of an illegal immigrant---without mentioning that the immigrant who attempted Trump was a white British national who'd overstayed his visa. His program often alleges some of the most absurd lies about Mexico. In the aftermath of the 2004 Hurricane Katrina disaster, Savage criticized President Bush for allowing Mexico to send humanitarian aid to New Orleans; claiming that the Mexican Army was using it as an excuse to map out invasion routes.
Savage takes an extremist position on immigration, not because he cares about secure borders but because he hates Latinos. Savage is a deeply anti-Catholic bigot and his hatred for Catholicism actually drives his anti-immigration positions. Savage has called for prosecuting Catholic Charities for not turning away illegal immigrants and has often said that the Church supports illegal immigration so that priests will have new boys to rape.
Savage has also said that the Catholic Church is 'rotten from the bottom up' and compared Pope Francis to Pol Pot. He routinely refers to Francis as Lenin's Pope and ridicules Francis for his pre-ordination work in an Argentine nightclub; calling Francis "an ex-bouncer turned radical priest." He also makes ridiculous claims that the US Corporate Media promotes Pope Francis.
The Portland Riots and the puppet-masters behind them need to be brought out and exposed; but we must always be on guard against agenda-driven critics of these events as well.
