Well, I suppose that the RINOs had to come up with one more publicity stunt before the 'Election.' On Thursday, President Trump was seen riding in a garbage truck somewhere; and like his photo-op at a McDonald's between fundraisers with the billionaire class, this is supposed to turn the tide of the people who still bother to vote.
Actually, I can't think of a more perfect metaphor for what American politicians actually do: driving Trash Culture from destination to destination before finally dumping it somewhere and rushing off to pick up a paycheck before repeating the process. To a culture like ours where voyeurism makes up 90% of the both the news and entertainment media's revenues, stunts like these are a big deal.
What occasioned all of this was a massive rally held last weekend at Madison Square Garden in New York wherein the Facts Don't Care About Your Feelings crowd went off on some rather graphic depictions about those they consider subhuman and inferiors. The Controlled Opposition tried to spin these remarks as being taken out of context and pooh-poohing hyper-sensitive Liberals who couldn't take a joke. Then, Head-of-State Biden, who has a long history of saying exactly the wrong thing at the wrong time, gave his opinion of the Controlled Opposition's supporters. Those, remarks, of course, drew down a storm of outrage: because, as we've seen throughout the last year or so, It's only bad when the Democrats do it.
So, basically, we've reached a point now where both sides are accusing the other of pandering to Trash Culture. The irony of this situation hardly needs much comment. The tragedy of it all though, is that whoever succeeds is going to think they have a mandate from those who really believe that such displays represent the Dawn of a New Era.
