PANIC FOR PROFIT IN THE CORPORATE MEDIA

This has been yet another rough week in the Land of Free with Left-Wing nutjob governors and local authorities grabbing as much power as possible with little or no resistance. Americans are showing off their exceptionalism once again; as greed, selfishness, fake news, fear, and unquestioning obedience are once again the order of the day. Just like the Good Old Days of the Deep State have returned with a vengeance.

We're reliving all those fun pre-2016 times all over again. New Normals like 'shelter-in-place' and 'social distancing' have popped up again everywhere. We have to accept these new social trends---without any discussion or reasons for them explained---except that the Elites say that we're supposed to. From the Mainstream Media (whom we know never lies about anything) we're given the outrage/crisis of the hour---which we're all supposed to feel angry/afraid about; and if you don't, you're written off as a conspiracy-kook. And last, but certainly not least, plenty of advice and tips on how to profit in these changing times.

Voices of reason have been few and far between. There have also been a lot of good deeds being done; but one really has to dig deep down through the mire of MSM excrement to find them. These are stories like that of Dr. Alison Holman of the UC-Irvine and Dr. Robert Quigley of International SOS explaining who's really behind panic-buying of things like bath tissue and hand sanitizers.

“A week ago, there were a handful of articles in major newspapers saying, here’s what you should do to prepare for [COVID-19]. And one of the top things that was listed on at least two or three websites, major media outlets, was: Buy toilet paper. I think some of the freak-out about getting toilet paper has to do with that.” Dr. Holman said, and she also added that "the whole modus operandi by the outlets was to capitalize on people’s concerns over the virus."

I'm certain that the fact that 80% of America's toilet-paper comes from three conglomerates: Georgia-Pacific, Kimberley-Clark, and Proctor & Gamble which spend about $3 billion combined on advertising in the Corporate Media is just a coincidence. The fact that the Media caused a run on products---totally useless for fighting the COVID-19 virus---had certainly nothing to do with the interests of any of these people. Even though P & G is the 4th largest US advertiser (and #1 globally); and Georgia-Pacific is run by notorious Never-Trumpers the Koch Brothers; the MSM must certainly put the interests of the country first, right?

In fact, just looking at a list of America's top 100 advertisers, we see quite a few who profit from both Coronavirus Panic and Government Crackdowns. Besides P & G, we see companies who also manufacture similar products: Johnson & Johnson (22); Unilever (34); Reckitt---the owner of the Lysol brand--- is at #77; Clorox is at #95 and the Henkel home products conglomerate ranks 99th. The big box-stores and online retailers whose stockpiles are flying off the shelves are represented too: Amazon (3); Walmart (11); Target (28); Home Depot (42); Kroger (61); Walgreen's (73); Ebay (80); and Albertson's (89). None of this is biasing the media in any way, shape, or form, right? Big Pharma---who'll get government subsidies out of the whole mess for certain---have nine spots in the Top 100; and the Insurance Cartels---also poised for a bailout---have four.

Nothing in the Corporate Media should be believed. I've seen stories lately that even blame Russian and Chinese 'disinformation agents' for the few voices contradicting their official narrative. The reality is that the Corporate Media is---as they have been for the last 40-50 years---nothing but shills of Wall Street and the Left Wing of the DNC.

  1. Kind of interesting, toilet paper wasn't even invented until 1857. Toothpaste shares a similar story. In order to market those products, advertisers had to convince the general public that these things were needed, a vital necessity, a "right" even. Success, because we've been brainwashed into believing our very survival depends on them. Me too! I have deep sentimental attachments to these products, I'm just saying that for much of human history we made do without them.

The official scientific consensus, the nursing and biology experts also want to remind everyone that the very best germ killer ever is still soap and hot water. Lysol, hand sanitizers, disinfectant wipes, these things are inferior products, all much less suitable and simply sold as "needs" totally manufactured by advertisers. In fact, when Lysol first came on the market, it was sold to women as a feminine hygiene product. I kid you not, it's a horrific toxin to put into your body, but people were actually brainwashed into believing it was a product suitable for use as a douche and also for some, a form of birth control.

    1. It really is getting bad in some states. What's really troubling is when I've on local news forums and even dared suggest that people ought to THINK before they give up their freedoms, I get shouted down and complaints that comments should be deleted, etc. I think that this panic is becoming dangerous.
