Predictably, within 24 hours of the arrest of four Chicago thugs who kidnapped and tortured a mentally ill young man, the Corporate Media is downplaying the story, and diverting it into all kinds of racial distraction. CNN host Don Lemon---a multimillionaire and homosexual---caused some controversy by rebutting a statement that the thugs' actions were evil. "I don't think it's evil, I think that these are young people and they have had bad home training...you wonder at 18 years old, where is your parent? Where is your guardian?" Apparently, Lemon doesn't realize that 18 year-olds are adults; but this is unsurprising. Lemon's writings elsewhere indicate that he is still psychologically fixated on his own upbringing. Unfortunately today, neurotics are fairly well represented in the Corporate Media; journalists, not so much.
But it wasn't always so. Once the ranks of Black American men were filled with good men doing good things. Because of the racial dynamics of earlier times, Black men had an especial obligation to protect and provide for their families and communities. Punks like Don Lemon were despised and thugs like these Chicago Anarchists were put down by Black men.
America's media, too, used to reflect those attitudes. Our feature for this weekend is a good and action-packed crime drama that displays the masculine leadership of earlier generations of Black men especially. It is from 1972 and stars Raymond St. Jacques and Godfrey Cambridge, and is titled Come Back, Charleston Blue.
This film was a sequel to a 1970 film called Cotton Comes to Harlem wherein two streetwise Harlem detectives, 'Coffin Ed' Johnson (St. Jacques) and 'Gravedigger' Jones (Cambridge) take down a race-hustling charlatan and recover a lost fortune belonging to the community. In the sequel, our heroes return to solve a strange series of murders. Harlem drug-dealers are being killed; and the MO is a blue-steel antique straight razor left at each scene. The problem is that MO fits the legendary Charleston Blue---a sort of Prohibition Era Harlem Robin Hood who disappeared during the 1920s. The community believes that Charleston Blue has come back; including the 'Duchess' Charleston's girlfriend who's loyally been awaiting Charleston's return for over 40 years.
Coffin Ed and the Gravedigger, though, have their suspicions; and a group of Black militants seem to know more about these activities than they let on. The duo is also hampered by their new police captain---an Affirmative-Action type who wants a nice, peaceful tenure on his way to promotion. Unfortunately for the captain, Coffin Ed and the Gravedigger live up to their nicknames and put plenty of unsavories into coffins and graves along the way.
Has Charleston Blue really come back? The story, like its predecessor, is full of surprises.
Come Back, Charleston Blue belongs to a film genre that postmodern White Hollywood Liberals call Blaxploitation. They give it this name to cover up certain politically-incorrect truths about how earlier generations of Blacks respected American ideals and often exceeded their White counterparts in living up to them. Most of the films of this genre were written, produced, and directed by Black Americans.
As of this writing, Come Back, Charleston Blue is available for free viewing on Youtube. Viewers may want to invest in the DVD set, which also has Cotton Comes to Harlem. On a cold January weekend, why not make it a double feature? And on the news shows, you'll see the Don Lemon types in a whole new light.
A commenter raised some questions about an article we published here last Summer on the Manosphere's mythology concerning so-called female hypergamy. The issues that he raised really deserve a more detailed response; and since it's been awhile since we've visited this topic, a new post was in order. For those unfamiliar with the term, female hypergamy is a doctrine taught by the Red Pills in the Manosphere that women, by nature, are driven to seek supposedly high-status males and are not monogamous or devoted to one male by love or any other attachment. Here's the reader's comment in full:
"My only quibble with this that a simple Google search for 'I cheated on my husband' will yield tons of proof of Female Hypergamy. Story after story of women leaving otherwise good men and situations for some 'better' option. The younger man, the richer man, the sexier man, etc. I mean, honestly doing that Google search and reading the results screams proof to me.
"I should note that many in the MGTOW movement are men who have been hurt by a woman and are failing to heal. They really need help."
These are some valid points; but hypergamy does not explain them. The results from the Google Search actually reveals unfaithful wives who are justifying leaving their husbands. These women are hardly unbiased sources as to whether the new men are better or not; it's a lot like reading PUA testimonies in the Manosphere---they could pick up some drugged-out prostitute in a sleazy dive-bar, but the story will be spun as though she's a swimsuit model for Victoria's Secret.
Nonetheless, the divorce rate in the US is out of control; and single men in the US are frustrated with a lack of options. The reason for these things, though, are as follows:
1. Contrary to popular belief, single women of marriageable age are heavily outnumbered by single men in the US.
2. Factors like the breakdown of the family and dumbing-down of our schools have left girls and women with little or no education on how to be wives and mothers. Feminist disinformation has, of course, made the situation even worse.
3. Our culture is extremely hostile to men and masculinity in general.
The phenomenon we witness with female infidelity is not women behaving according to female nature; it is women reacting to an abnormal and dysfunctional social dynamic. Simply put: If women are surrounded by unattached men; and given no education in maintaining a relationship---and in fact are encouraged by social pressures to cheat---it's not surprising at all that many do. It's not female nature, but human nature that's at work here.
The last paragraph of the comment is sadly true; and is a consequence of point #3 above. Our culture has no sympathy whatsoever for wounded men---and in MGTOW they find other wounded men who've failed to heal and have empathy for them. We agree that these men need help; but frequently there is none. This is another cultural failing that needs to faced.
Our commenter's mistake is a common one. Too often we take our culture's values as normative and draw conclusions from them. The mistake is assuming that our postmodern values are what values always have been throughout human history. That assumption leads to false conclusions like female hypergamy.
Four thugs are in custody tonight in Cook County Jail after posting a live-stream video of themselves kicking, beating, and cutting a man whom they'd kidnapped and bound. The hoodlums could be heard in the background throwing Anti-Trump insults at the helpless prisoner. Authorities say that the victim was a 'special-needs' man who'd been reported missing and was known to the attackers. In other words, these punks picked on a disabled man; adding cowardice to their other crimes.
Andrew Holmes, a Chicago community activist, called the attack "horrific" and Chicago Police Chief Eddie Johnson vowed that punishment would be swift and sure. The thugs were drinking and laughing at the victim's plight and blowing marijuana smoke in his face.
All throughout 2016, we saw numerous outbreaks of this kind of Anarchism: a Trump supporter in Chicago was carjacked and beaten by another such gang in November. These incidents are occurring nationwide; and of course they are being coordinated and encouraged by interested parties. And before the race-card gets played in this incident, it should be noted that Holmes and Johnson are both Black themselves; and that White racists may also have their fingers in the cash-drawer.
All Americans, of any race, stand united against politically-motivated violence; because all such movements seek to rob us of our freedom. These Black Chicago Anarchists essentially behaved no differently than White lynch-mobs used to do; with the races reversed.
The victim, at last report, was treated at a local hospital and released.
It seems that some more of America's brave men and women in uniform have run afoul of the law both at home and abroad. And no wonder when we have recruiters like Sgt. Julian Prezas, a decorated Army veteran, who pled guilty in San Antonio last week to lying on federal firearms forms, and facing other charges.
Prezas was arrested after a sting operation caught him and others funneling assault weapons to Mexican drug cartels. Prezas has confessed that he knowingly sold "dozens of weapons, with the help of other soldiers," to these terrorist gangs. He is scheduled to be sentenced in March.
Mexican news media sources have long claimed that corrupt US military and federal agencies have been aiding and abetting the criminal gangs along the Mexican border. In June, two soldiers from Ft. Bliss in El Paso were arrested at a border checkpoint trying to smuggle illegal immigrants into the US. The two were paid $1,500 per immigrant by Mexican gangs.
The 'Trash Culture' and Political Correctness that Americans have allowed to permeate our public schools has spread into the military, just as it has our universities. It's difficult not to argue that have really lost an entire generation because of the negligence and malfeasance of Academia, Media, and Government---and because of a complacent population which has allowed it to happen.
The Military, like Public Education, however; are sacred cows never criticized by the Media and held in awe by the general public. But both have been failing; and failing radically. Simply because the Corporate Media fails to report crime in the military---or dismiss it as 'a few bad apples'---is simply an evasion of the facts. The Fat Leonard Scandal alone has involved hundreds of Pentagon officials: yet is covered up to protect Obama and his predecessors from criticism over their military social engineering schemes.
Sgt. Prezas was a recruiter, and who knows how many other crooks he brought into the ranks. Is this an isolated incident? Hardly. In the last two months alone, a Navy recruiter in New York was arrested for Conspiracy to Commit Murder and a USMC recruiter was arrested in New Jersey for exposing himself to children and luring them into his vehicle.
In Fort Campbell, Kentucky last month---home of the 'elite' 101st Airborne Division, two soldiers were arrested for murdering a drug dealer while attempting to purchase marijuana. Two others from the same division were arrested the same month in connection with the murder and kidnapping of a local woman.
These incidents are the products of nearly 30 years' de-masculinization of the schools and military. Our culture is no longer turning boys into men; instead it's turning boys into weaklings, thugs, and perverts.
The new Administration has talked about rebuilding our infrastructure; but we can see that our social infrastructure needs rebuilding as well.
There are times when reading editorials in the foreign press that one begins to believe that our own media is the one US industry that actually deserves to be outsourced. China's official Party newspaper, The Global Times, published an editorial today of the type that no American editor would dare write---but should.
Chinese television has apparently been experimenting with Reality-Shows. One of these features Chinese families screening eligible potential brides for their sons; and it has apparently generated considerable controversy in the Chinese social media. The Party has officially spoken out; expressing its disgust and displeasure both with the program and, more importantly, with the social attitudes that bring such programming about.
The important thing about this editorial is that applies to American society just as much as it does to China's---if not moreso here. The Editors flatly tell the Chinese public---Chinese men especially---to stop thinking like infants and start behaving like adults. To its credit, the Chinese Elites evidently haven't the same patience with the Snowflake Generation that ours have.
The article cites Dr. Wu Zhihong, one of the country's top psychologists, who says that "a majority of Chinese adults' mental age seems to be stuck at that of a 6-month old baby. This can explain a series of current social phenomenon including a number of 'Mama's Boys' and poor familial relationships." Dr. Wu also agreed with social media commenters who said that the show's men "behave like spoiled big babies, who want a mother instead of a love."
The article continues: "However, after years of marriage, the wife has to take on the responsibility of caring for her children, doing household duties and focusing on her career. All the while, he is only interested in playing video games with his son, and not coming to her aid...while she has to grow up at full speed as a new mother, he is still acting like a boy, not knowing what she wants or why she is anxious...
"Being accustomed to the lifestyle in which they are the absolute center of the universe, they tend to have no clue how to empathize, help and make compromises with others. In the face of conflicts, especially interpersonal relationships, some are too lazy to ponder the root cause. Believing that problems are inevitable, trying to ignore or escape from the problems are often their first choice; until one day, their games are over before they grow up."
If only some American editor would say this: not just to the Pajama-Boys but to the 'Giant Infants' of the Manosphere who teach men that such behavior is masculine and desirable. The Manosphere writers---men who are old enough to know better---teach younger men that such selfishness and immaturity is the natural order of things. The Chinese editors here describe Red-Pill behavior and relationship-psychology perfectly.
The Manosphere Red-Pills try in vain to pretend that there is some great social gulf between themselves and the Snowflake-types by inventing fake hierarchies in which they are the 'Alphas' and others are relegated to inferior statuses. But the reality is that there is no difference. Mature men leave the care of their mothers and seek out a woman of their own to care for and support. One either behaves maturely, or one does not: taking the Red Pill does not automatically make a man a grown-up. In fact, it's more typically a rationalization for their own immature behavior.
The editors conclude with advice for China that we Americans would be well-advised to heed also: "However, shifting the responsibility of immaturity to a mental disorder should not be a closure, but a starting-point. Now that we know what is wrong, it's time to solve this riddle in pragmatic ways and make the giant infants grow up."
On New Year's Eve, the pop-culture magazine Variety published an exclusive interview with participants in a cancelled documentary on the Ku Klux Klan. The documentary was scheduled to run on A&E Network in January; but was cancelled last week after the network executives discovered that the interviewees had been paid. The Klansmen allege in Variety that the staging of the documentary went further than simply compensating participants.
Of course, this is all assuming that the same interviewees weren't paid by Variety, which in today's Corporate Media climate, is entirely possible.
Be that as it may, however, the Klansmen allege that the producers handed them scripts, paid them unreported cash and even provided materials for staged cross-burnings and other demonstrations. This caused some outrage from a Mississippi Klan chapter, who felt they'd been shortchanged when they learned how much the Tennessee Chapter was paid.
The scandal brings up a few interesting questions. As we saw during the Presidential Campaign, via Wiki Leaks and elsewhere, the DNC was actively coordinating with the Corporate Media. We saw a lot of press given to Far-Right extremists, who purportedly were all Trump supporters. Was there more than free publicity being given to these groups?
Take, for example, the bloggers of the 'Red Pill' Manosphere. A number of these blogs solicit donations and their writers were all very strongly pro-Trump. They also---almost in unison---suddenly shifted the focus of their blogs from Pick-Up Artistry and Anti-Feminism to ultra-White Nationalism, Anti-Semitism, and race-baiting.
It does make one wonder. Where do the donations come from? Who is buying all these self-published books the Manospherians claim to be top-sellers?
Maybe it would be a good idea for some Social Justice Warriors to have a little closer look at some of the sources of Manosphere bloggers' funding. It's especially interesting considering how these writers have recently had some falling-outs among themselves over pushing White Nationalist issues. Interesting that the controversy between them should arise just as the revelations about A&E were becoming public. As the Indians say, somebody may be speaking with a forked tongue here. After all, the KKK complains about money-grubbing Jews controlling the Media too; but they apparently didn't mind taking their cash.
Since the incoming Trump Administration has disavowed connections with these extremist groups---and has vowed to investigate corruption in the Corporate Media---some of these Manosphere Red-Pill sites might be worth looking into, for a start. The Red Pill philosophy is not exactly one where commitment to principle over selfish gratification is exalted.
In other words, as far as the Manosphere is concerned, we have a very strong appearance of impropriety here. It will be interesting to see whether or not we'll have some financial transparency on their part. They owe it to their regular readers to assure them that their followers, too, aren't being Gamed.
At year's end, people typically make predictions on the coming year or reflect on the year just passed. This year has seen both positives and negatives. The fight for Civilization, Freedom, and Faith has seen some tremendous gains.
On the positive side of things, we've seen Britain break from the EU. We've seen the Jihadist threat from ISIS and Al-Qaeda getting very well handled by Allied forces. Russian humanitarian assistance to Syria, Iraq, Donbas, and North Korea have prevented some serious disasters; Chinese economic and technological gains have created numerous jobs and raised living standards in many parts of Asia and Africa. A growing global network on the Internet has been exposing crimes and corruption in high places; most notably thanks to Julian Assange.
Here on the homefront we weathered an extremely divisive political year. What the incoming Trump Administration is going to do remains to be seen; but the challenges facing us domestically are formidable. The last time our country faced these kinds of problems was 1980---a period of economic decline; our nation still divided from Vietnam and Watergate; the Communists via the former Soviet Union gaining ground internationally; the Iranian Hostage Crisis; energy shortages---the incumbent President Carter then even spoke openly of a national malaise.
It is difficult to compare 2016 with 1980. Reagan and Trump both had populist-conservative message and both had backgrounds in the media; but Reagan had a lot more political experience. Still, Donald Trump is largely a product of the 1980s; but it's an open question of how closely his politics parallel Reagan's.
The most interesting aspect of 2016 vs. 1980 is that Reagan had much more material to work with. Our current national crisis is different than previous ones in that our problems today are cultural and spiritual ones which cannot be solved by political means alone. The Government can do some proactive things and encourage solutions to our problems; but the ultimate solution today is going to have to come from within.
For the last three decades, Americans by-and-large have allowed the Cultural Marxists--- and increasingly, the Radical Right to define our culture. The breakdown of the family; our worse-than-useless public education system; and our equally worthless mass-media have led to a society suffering from a malaise far worse than President Carter spoke of. We've rested on the laurels of our forefathers while our economy has imploded; our infrastructure near collapse; and our international prestige in decline.
To put this perspective consider that, in 2016, almost half of Americans are functionally or wholly illiterate; drug addiction and drug-deaths are outpacing homicides. The recent CDC reports show that almost 2/5 of Americans are morbidly obese; suicide rates are up; and we have infant mortality rates near 3rd-world levels---which doesn't include abortion rates which are also off the charts. And all the while, schools, media, and politicians tell us that we are still exceptional; and that these things are simply the new normal.
These things are all symptomatic of a culture that has lost faith; faith in itself as well as religious faith. The problem facing us in 2017 is how to restore that faith.
