MEDIA PERVERTS GRASP AT STRAWS

    As we're all aware by now, the perverts in the Corporate Media have disseminated a phony intelligence report that originated from some anonymous trolls at 4chan. The pornographic magazine Penthouse has now offered a $1 million reward for anyone who can produce the scandalous video. I think that we can safely predict that the Guccione family fortune won't be making any payouts anytime soon.

    The Kremlin practically laughed off the allegations, with spokesman Dmitry Peskov stating that it was sad that American journalism had descended to this level of hysteria and vulgarity. On a more serious note, Julian Assange pointed out that the leaked memo was clearly a hoax: even using language not employed by American security agencies. Sadly, it is not uncommon for the Corporate Media to publish hoaxes. As President-Elect Trump pointed out today, many innocent lives have been ruined by such fake news.

    Buzzfeed was the media outlet that first published the story. Buzzfeed is owned by an arch-Leftist millionaire media mogul Jonah Peretti. one of the founders of The Huffington Post. Like many others in the Corporate Media, Peretti has had no journalistic training. He has a degree in Envionmental Science for UC-Santa Cruz, one of the most Left-Wing universities in the US. His sister and brother-in-law are both Hollywood performers, known for pontificating anti-Trump hysteria on Twitter and elsewhere.

     The story was then broadcast by CNN, which just as typically didn't bother to verify any of the sources.

     Besides the obvious falsehood of the story; Trump or any other elected official wouldn't have needed to travel to Russia to engage in such activities anyway. Politicians and newsmen have plenty of venues in Washington, DC where they can indulge their perversions quite freely.

     British journalist Glenn Greenwald---who published Edward Snowden's revelations---summed matters up best:

     "Demanding that evidence-free anonymous assertions be venerated as truth---despite emanating from the very precincts designed to propagandize and lie---is an assault on journalism, democracy, and basic human rationality...There is no bigger favor that Trump opponents can do for him than attack him with such lowly, shabby, obvious shams, and recruiting large media outlets to lead the way. When it comes time to expose actual Trump corruption and criminality, who is going to believe that the people and institutions who have demonstrated that they are willing to endorse any assertion, no matter how factually baseless, who deploy any journalistic tactic no matter how unreliable and basic means of ensuring accuracy?"

     The Corporate Media doesn't get it. Glenn Greenwald does.
