With a Media-driven Government, it was probably only a matter of time before this happened. "Trump said he had directed agencies, including the Commerce Department, to begin immediately imposing a 100% tariff on all foreign-produced films entering the US...The US president also framed foreign film productions as a national security threat, asserting that other countries were using cinema as a vehicle for messaging and propaganda.'WE WANT MOVIES MADE IN AMERICA, AGAIN!' he declared. Trump’s post came after weekend meetings at his Mar-a-Lago Club with actor Jon Voight and his manager, Steven Paul. They reportedly presented the president with their plans for more federal tax incentives for US film and TV production. In January, Trump appointed Voight, along with actors Mel Gibson and Sylvester Stallone, as special ambassadors to Hollywood to help promote US job growth in the entertainment sector."
There really are times when one doesn't know what to say any more. The True Believers have plenty to say, though. Protecting Hollywood's stakeholders is based and Red-Pilled these days. Just look at the high-class production values that Government-By-Social-Media wants to return to the US:
Likewise, it's no doubt only a coincidence that Howard Lutnick, whose Commerce Department is charged with enforcing these tariffs, was CEO of a brokerage firm heavily invested in Hollywood; or that several studios like NBC Universal are connected to the WEF. Thanks to Lutnick's fellow-Oligarch Elon Musk, there is no internal oversight left at the Commerce Department to look into Conflicts-of-Interest anyway.
This is what happens when our side runs up the White Flag on cultural issues. Debased institutions like our Media don't get competition: they get encouragement. An actual Conservative position would be to break up these media monopolists and Free Trade would help a lot. But that wouldn't answer the financial interests of Globalists like Lutnick and Musk. Nor would it work in the interests of authoritarians who want to control the narrative. Hence, we have no Conservative Party in Washington, but another wing of the Uniparty working for both Oligarchs and Authoritarians.
