On July 4th, 1920, then Vice-Presidential candidate Calvin Coolidge gave the following address. His words still give us much food for thought today.
"July 4th, 1776, on which day the representatives of three millions of people vocalized the contests of Lexington and Bunker Hill and gave notice to the world that they proposed to establish an independent nation on the theory that all men are created equal; that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights; that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. No wonder then that the glory of the American people is not the ringing declarations of that day; but in the actions already begun and in the process of being carried out in spite of every obstacle Tyranny could impose; making this theory of Freedom and Equality a Reality.
"We revere that day because it marks the beginning of independence; the beginnings of the Constitution, which was to bring freedom and equality to all American citizens. The beginnings of a government that was to recognize beyond all others the power, worth, and dignity of man. So then began the first government to acknowledge that it was founded upon the sovereignty of the people; where the world first beheld the revelation of modern Democracy.
"Democracy is not tearing-down, it is building up. It is not denial of the Divine Right of Kings, it supplements that claim with the affection of the Divine Right of All Men. It does not destroy, it fulfills. It is the consummation of all theories of government; a theory to which all nations of the earth must yield. It is engraved with such a force of the ages; it is the Alpha and Omega of man's relation to man---the beginning and the end. There is, and can be, no more doubt of the triumph of Democracy in human affairs than there is of the triumph of gravitational theory in the physical world. Beyond this lies the question of how and when this foundation lays hold upon Eternity. It is unconcerned with the idolatry of despotisms, or treasons, or rebellions which are bound to fail; but bows in reverence before Moses' Law and the Light that shone on Calvary.
"The Declaration of Independence, predicated upon the glory of man with the high teachings of religious society that the Rights of citizens ought to be protected with every power of thought and faith; and the government which does any less is far from the teachings of that great document and far from the name of American. The affections of human rights does not call for human sacrifice. This has yet to perish from the American people. Only so long as this flame burns shall we endure; and the Light of Liberty shall sweep over the nations of the earth. Then shall be peace for the nations and peace for America.
"Only the devotion of this spirit; only the intensity of this flame and to the Eternal Truth of Our Lord's time: 'What were our lives without faith?' What all our lives and faith is that we wreck not what He gave us, we will not bear to doubt Him, but ask whatever else He will, and we will dare."
This speech was transcribed off of a nearly century-old phonograph record from a political leader whose New England accent was even more pronounced than President Kennedy's. Hence, it may not be 100% accurate, but the general theme is maintained. It was the general agreement among political theorists until recently that the broader applications of the Christian Faith into society led to the freest government. Though Church and State are separated by law, Faith and Civilization are inseparable if a people hope to remain free. With their purely literalist and materialist instincts, the radicals on both far Left and far Right fail to see the difference. Our separation of Church and State was not designed to suppress Faith; but to allow the workings and applications of Faith its maximum latitude in society.
The Corporate Media and their confederates in the Deep State desperately fear losing Obamacare. The massive amount of corruption which has already been uncovered has been ignored intentionally by the MSM. How many people knew, for example, that HHS Secretary Price recently hosted a public forum to hear how Obamacare had impacted small businesses?
The last few months, we've chronicled some of the monthly cases of Obamacare fraud and abuse uprooted by HHS inspectors. June was certainly no exception, but the Department provided us as well with a six-month tally. Since Trump took office, HHS has recorded a whopping 2,326 indictments and recovered over two and one-half billion dollars that otherwise never would have been noticed.
One has to wonder--- after watching Anarchist chumps out protesting Trump in the streets today--- why they don't want to see Obamacare scrapped. This level of corruption is bad enough: but consider too that this is only what so far has been discovered. Secretary Price noted that most of these cases were uncovered by routine investigation; but a significant number were exposed by whistleblowers. The Secretary encouraged people involved in healthcare to come forward; stating that HHS has established a Whistleblower Ombudsman Office for this express purpose.
Combatting fraud is not the only achievement of Price's HHS. At the beginning of June, HHS allocated $70 million in federal grants dedicated to fighting the opioid epidemic. The Department also opened a contest for entrepreneurs to design a new medical privacy system.
HHS also announced that it has begun audits of an Obama-Era program (due to expire in 2018) funding healthcare facilities in developing countries. The first company examined was found in violation of nine funding regulations and ordered to pay $181,000 in restitution.
Let's hope the second six months have some more good news.
While the Corporate Media was busying itself with ridiculous tweets about face-lifts, President Trump was on the job. In a ceremony attended by Vice-President Pence and legendary astronaut Col. Buzz Aldrin---along with many other distinguished guests---Trump signed an Executive Order reinstating the National Space Council. Vice-President Pence was appointed to head the council.
The National Space Council was abolished by the Clintons in 1993. Restoring it was a project cherished by Pence and, in October, 2016, Trump advisors reported in Space News that then-candidate Trump had pledged its restoration.
The President gave a short, but inspiring speech at the ceremony reflecting on the vastness of the universe and how peoples came together under contemplating things higher than themselves. He expressed hope, too, that the Council would not only "restore American leadership in space" but "inspire a new generation of children to look beyond themselves into the mysteries of the universe."
The United States has fallen rapidly as the global leader in space exploration and technology during the last three decades. While we still hold a technological edge in deep-space exploration and research, Russia is completely dominant now in manned explorations, rocketry, and applied research. China is rapidly catching up to Russia and has developed some very advanced satellite and biotechnical systems. Just today, China unveiled a new heavy-launch rocket designed to deploy an advanced communications satellite.
NASA head Robert Lightfoot applauded the President's decision. NASA formerly had a position on the Council, and stressed that it's importance in coordinating and aligning national interest with space policy has been sorely missed. When President Kennedy established the Council in 1961, the Departments of State, Commerce, and Defense were also represented. Though Pence hasn't announced the new appointees yet, he would prudent to include Education Secretary Beverley DeVos. Our dumbed-down public schools and corrupt universities are one of the main culprits behind our lack of progress in Astronomical Sciences recently. Pence stated that his goal was to make the Council "a central hub guiding space policy within the Administration" and would advise the President on issues involving these themes.
Sandy Magnus, Chairman of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics attended the ceremony and told Space News that "We appreciate the Trump Administration's efforts to strengthen our national space enterprise and view this as an opportunity to create an integrated strategic approach to US Space endeavors." Mark Albrecht, who formerly headed the Council under President Bush Sr., praised Vice-President Pence as an "able and energetic leader who will ensure US Space pre-eminence for decades to come." Here's hoping that his prediction comes true.
Space News also noted that, despite the significance of this event, there was no live coverage in the Mainstream Media nor even any announcement of the ceremony. We did some research and found the MSM headlines at the time of the ceremony, which read: "White House Declines to Recognize LGBTQ Pride Month!" Oh, well....
When we last heard from the folks over at Project Veritas, they had just finished exposing the Clinton Machine's corrupt tactics. That good work led to the downfall of a duo of particularly rotten Deep-State henchmen, Bob Creamer and James Foval. Their latest project is an expose of Corporate Media fake-news outlet, CNN.
CNN was already in trouble when the results of the investigation emerged. They had to fire Kathy Griffin and Reza Aslan after their anti-Trump outbursts outraged even CNN's low standards. Then, they had to confess to lying after being threatened with a $100 million libel suit over a fake anti-Russia story. Two executives and a Pulitzer-Pride nominated 'journalist' were forced to resign.
Indeed, what Project Veritas has revealed are even further confessions that most of CNN's anti-Russian propaganda are simply lies; not only designed to undermine the Trump Administration, but to boost CNN's stock-margins and to ingratiate themselves with their Deep-State masters. Most of these revelations have been ably analyzed on other sites. What really stood out to us was not so much the bias, lying, and corruption: Project Veritas merely confirmed what we'd already suspected in that regard. What was truly shocking was the overt cynicism and outright boasting about these crimes displayed by CNN personnel.
"It's a business." Producer John Bonifield, of CNN Health News chortled, "People think like 'the media has this ethical position'. All this nice, cutesy little ethics that they talk about in Journalism School. That's like very nice, very adorable, but it's a business...the crux of the matter is that the Trump-Russia Story sells."
Bonifield is the executive selecting what stories CNN broadcasts relating to issues like healthcare. And he laughs in his sleeve over the whole idea of 'ethics' in journalism. Even more contemptuous of the intelligence of the audience, Associate Producer Jimmy Carr assured interviews that while CNN executives were smart enough to see through Trump, the average American is "stupider than s--t."
Let's be candid here and admit that since the New Deal Era, the American Media has leaned strongly to the Democratic Party. (It leaned strongly Republican from the Civil War until FDR). But what we're hearing from CNN isn't political bias. CNN and institutions like it are running an outright Confidence Racket. CNN can whitewash it any way they want to, but this is exactly what con-men do: fabricate information, pitch their narrative to people they consider chumps, and then rake in the cash.
DNC apparatchik turned CNN 'analyst' Van Jones even laughingly referred to the Russian story as 'a big nothing-burger'; an American slang term for a swindle.
Project Veritas promises some upcoming releases. The bottom line here though is that CNN needs to shape up or it's game over for them. Time-Warner's stockholders and directors can start by removing CEO Jeff Zucker. Zucker was previously the CEO of NBC which was also plagued by fake news scandals during his tenure. His mismanagement of NBC led to such losses that the network had to be sold, though Zucker himself walked away with a $40 million severance package. Even Liberal Feminist Maureen Dowd characterized Zucker as an archetypical Wall Street Robber-Baron with no media skills but a talent for maximizing his own profit-margins.
The fact is that this should be a major wake-up call for the Mainstream Media. Instead of incessantly attacking Trump, they had better start draining some swamps of their own.
This morning, while the Corporate Media and denizens of the Deep State were busily foaming and frothing because Trump actually replied to one of their repeated insults, American farmers were celebrating. The US Department of Agriculture and the Department of Commerce announced that they had reached an agreement with Mexico; ending a long-standing stalemate on sugar import regulations.
Mexico's sugar industry is heavily subsidized and protected by the Mexican Government. Under NAFTA regulations, imported sugar prices were fixed at rates competitive with US production. Shady contractors on both sides of the border, however, were selling Mexican surpluses in violation of the agreement. The prices undercut American refineries in particular and cost US producers an estimated $4 billion per year.
The Mexican Government agreed to a price increase of 1/2 cent per pound, but most significantly agreed to limit its exports of refined sugar to 30% of the total shipped abroad. They also agreed to greater latitude in American regulation of import quotas. The illegal trade in sugar has also harmed Mexico, keeping the prices artificially high and causing the introduction of High Fructose Corn Syrup (for many years banned in Mexico) into their markets. Mexican health and agricultural officials would like to see HFCS replaced by sugar again.
In the US, sugar-beets account for 55% of production and cane and sorghum making up the remainder. Sugar farmers and producers are optimistic that the Trump Administration will bring about a badly-needed revival of the US Sugar Industry. Phillip Hayes of the American Sugar Alliance said that the Trump Administration is "100% committed to ending the job loss and injury caused by predatory trade practices."
The howls of anger predictably came from the Agribusiness Cartels, who have been buying foreign refined sugar at the cheapest possible price then gouging consumers for as much as the market could bear. The hypocrites even accused Trump officials of practicing 'crony capitalism'. It should be noted, however, that the Obama Administration was aware of the problem since 2013 and did nothing; while the Trump Administration resolved the issue in America's favor in less than 6 months.
Not content to do the Radical Left's work for them by undermining Oath Keepers, the phonies on the Alt-Right have stooped even lower than Antifa by doxxing their members. Vox Day, the ringleader of the Red Pill attack on Oath Keepers (of which we wrote yesterday), publicized the name, hometown, birthplace, and department of a Black policeman to be subjected to harassment.
After Vox unleashed a troll storm on Oath Keepers yesterday, he ridiculed them as being "unable to take criticism" and called them cowards. Today, he had a near nervous breakdown because an Oath Keeper had dared Vox to spout his racialist insults to his face. The cowardly Vox immediately responded by doxxing the author of the comment---something he's had a long history of doing to others.
The Oath Keeper in question worked as a police officer in Indianapolis for 11 years---a city with a violent crime rate four times higher than the national average. He's worked in Montana since 2015. Quite a contrast from a punk who hides out in Europe and incites others to do his fighting for him.
As for Vox himself, as he says among the comments:
"Anyone who believes that tactics are definitive and objectives are irrelevant is retarded." In other words, the Marxist notion that the ends justify the means; the whole concept upon which Political Correctness is based. In reality, objectives and tactics are inter-related. An ideology based in truth doesn't employ the same tactics as ideologies based in falsehoods because truth is power.
"I am not a free speech advocate." he further spouts off, displaying his true colors once again, "I advocate silencing everyone who advocates social justice."
This is why Conservative leaders need to denounce these people with the same vigor that we denounce the Left. These are not pro-Americans; in fact, many of their leaders live outside the US and others here are financed and supported by foreign interests. The Alt-Right is not a Nativist movement and never has been. They are no more representative of Americanism than Soros-funded front-groups on the Left. Both attract the scum of society; the disaffected and alienated and use them for their own purposes.
Oath Keepers, in contrast, states on its Membership application form: "Become part of a nationwide network of dedicated patriots, including many recent combat veterans and veteran street cops who are sincere Peace Officers and together we will spread the message about loyalty to the Constitution under our oaths; and help our communities become united, strong, and prepared." The Oath Keepers only accept current and former military or first-responder personnel as Regular Members, although there are membership plans available for other supporters.

During the last few months, the ringleaders of the Alt-Right Red Pill Cult have been attacking Conservatism and Christianity with as much vigor as the Radical Left. These guys have denounced Buckleyites, The National Review, Red State, the Vatican, and the Southern Baptist Convention as "SJW converged" that is, co-opted by the Left.
So now Vox Day has decided that Oath Keepers is not sufficiently ideologically pure. Oath Keepers are something like an updated version of the old Posse Comitatus groups of the 1960s and 1970s; except that Oath Keepers' membership is more or less restricted to current and former military and police-related personnel. The Oath Keepers get their name from a vow each member takes upon joining requiring them to disobey any unconstitutional order given them by a superior. The group has about 30,000 members and is fairly intersectional as to its demographics. They often network with other activist groups which have similar goals.
Vox has been having an online tantrum all day after an Oath Keeper posted a great story about how his 12 year-old adopted son chased away a gang of adult Red Pill bullies. The commentary following was supportive of the family; denouncing the Red Pills for the punks that they are; and saying negative things about anti-Semites and Supremacists in general. The Oath Keepers understand that the Constitution exists to protect everyone; not just those special interests on the political fringes.
Predictably, Vox turned his minions and trolls loose on the Oath Keeper who posted this story; sneering about 'Oathcucks' and complaining that the moderators are actually trying to keep civil debate on their own forum.
"The Oath Keepers are intellectual, moral and physical cowards." Vox boasts, "Frightened little b-----s who can't stand up to debate and criticism, let alone open derision. And these cowardly losers are going to stand up to the might of the US government when it orders them around?"
So says a cowardly loser who hides behind a keyboard in Europe and tells Americans how to behave. Vox, though, accuses the Oath Keepers of cowardice---as he previously did the Southern Baptists---because "they are afraid that someone will call them Racists."
This is how the convoluted logic of the Red Pill fanatic works, To these people, their cult simply is. Nobody can oppose or even disagree with them as a matter of principle; they must have evil motives.
Here is a part of the story that appeared on the Oath Keepers' site. Judge for yourselves who the real cowards are:
"We had stopped at a Dairy Queen for a Blizzard after church. I saw a trio of burly young men in Trump Hats at a corner table...To cut a long story short, these ruffians rapidly took an unwelcome interest in me and my son, nudging each other, looking in our direction, and whispering among themselves. I should note that my son is Eritrean; we adopted him through our church.
"Then these miscreants began making hooting noises and laughing!...I turned to them and said, 'Do you gentlemen have a problem?' 'Yeah,' replied one in a Pepe-the-Frog shirt, 'We don't want your kind in here! Take your kid back home to Iraq; we hate race-traitors like you! This is Trump country now.'"
It was at this point that the man's son suddenly spoke up and had the manhood to assert his rights. The Red Pills were forced to slink away in shame under the jeers and derision of the DQ patrons and staff. Wouldn't any father be proud of a son like that?
