Somebody pointed today in a conversation that the whole Epstein flap really has become the Democrats' version of Q Anon. Both controversies depended wholly on how willing Americans are to believe that the Deep State would allow damaging information on itself---over which it has had complete control for years---to be broadcast publicly across the Internet. Americans have proven their gullibility once again. The Chinese Media, to its credit, has until today given the story all the attention it really deserves (i.e. none). One of their analysts summed it better than American pundits ever do, saying, "The Epstein case has increasingly become a partisan political tool, with critics noting that selective document releases are unlikely to have major real-time political consequences," Lü Xiang, a research fellow at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, told the Global Times on Sunday. "While the Epstein files may reinforce public perceptions of systemic corruption in the US, its practical political impact is expected to be limited, especially given Epstein’s death and the difficulty of verifying key details."
While most Americans were spending the weekend pointing fingers at each other over whose hated political figures were 'covering up' and generally seething with disappointment that there weren't as many salacious details as they'd hoped to indulge their fantasies with, more news that actually might impact our future as a Republic passed unnoticed.
The aforementioned Democrats engineered another Government Shutdown which, of course, like the last one is designed to give themselves political cover for doing nothing while the Executive Branch continues Rule by Decree. One such unnoticed Decree issued this weekend came from the White House and noted that:
"I have instructed Secretary of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem, that under no circumstances are we going to participate in various poorly run Democrat Cities with regard to their Protests and/or Riots unless, and until, they ask us for help. We will, however, guard, and very powerfully so, any and all Federal Buildings that are being attacked… I have instructed ICE and/or Border Patrol to be very forceful in this protection of Federal Government Property.
"If local governments are unable to handle the Insurrectionists, Agitators, and Anarchists, we will immediately go to the location where such help is requested and take care of the situation very easily and methodically. Federal agencies – and if necessary, our Military– would respond forcefully if federal property is threatened."
Let's let this sink in for a moment. What the White House essentially has done here is to put all potential domestic rioters and troublemakers on notice that there will be no federal intervention in Democrat-run cities. Which means, in theory, that assorted Brownshirts, Neo-Nazis, and various rent-a-mobs (like the ones hired to stage Color Revolutions abroad) can run riot in Democrat-controlled cities so long as they avoid the Party's institutions.
Does this mean we'll start seeing scenes like Maidan and the Arab Spring on American City streets? Anyone inclined to dismiss this idea ought to be aware that this has happened elsewhere and the same people who orchestrated them have members of this Administration doing their bidding.
The mayors of these cities can call in Federal help: but as we've seen in Washington D.C., that would mean Martial Law. Any one who still clings to the idea that the New Right wouldn't go that far is deceiving themselves. The Democrats, who think that they'll vote their way out of this, are even more deceived.
Instead of deceiving ourselves, however, we should ignore the Media and come to grips with the fact that All Roads Lead to Totalitarianism, as the current sociopolitical trends indicate and start planning accordingly.
