THE CAMPAIGN TRAIL TO NOWHERE

So, I suppose that with the failure of our illustrious Congress' rather quixotic attempt to impeach DHS Commissar Mayorkis and a Federal Judge ruling that the President-in-Exile is not immune from prosecution on some ginned-up charge, an obligatory comment is necessary. Granted, the stories haven't overshadowed the upcoming Super Bowl in public minds: we're all supposed to be agog wondering if Taylor Swift will appear or what kinds of mega-spectacles Madison Avenue has planned for the halftime ads and shows. The stories do, however, seem to be trending much higher than the Junta's multitudinous foreign policy and military failures abroad are, for obvious reasons. Not to worry, though: even though the GOP-controlled Congress is breaking historical records conducting inquisitions of various kinds, they are at least prioritizing military aid for Israel abroad and expanding the Surveillance State at home.

I don't think much of Elections in the first place; however let us keep in mind that the Corporate Media has a sizable percentage of the American public convinced that January 6th was an insurrection and that Trump attempted to seize the Government by force. Thus, it's probably not a great political strategy for Congress to be engaging in continual witch-hunts, impeachments, censures, proscriptions, forced resignations, etc. Nor is it a really good idea to support governors who defy the Supreme Court, seize Federal jurisdictions, and boast about State Sovereignty over the National prerogatives.

I don't know how to put this simply; but: if your Party's main candidate is already fighting an uphill battle against disinformation accusing him of wanting to be a dictator, how exactly does it help dispel that Narrative by bending the Constitution against political enemies and abusing power?

It really would help Republican chances if they had something that distinguished them from the Democrats. It certainly would help a lot more than playing constantly into the Liberal Narrative. It doesn't seem like that's where they're going though: in fact, the latest buzz in the Controlled Opposition press is encouraging Trump to use Affirmative-Action to pick a Vice-PresidentThe GOP has become very flexible on its inclusiveness as of late. Choosing high-profile representatives of diversity is only wrong when Liberals do it, like everything else.

The 'smart boys' are considering SC Senator Tim Scott and SD Governor Kristi Noem as 'smart picks.' Scott, who outpaces every other Republican Senator in grabbing lobbying cash by a wide margin, was once called by Lindsey Graham "the future of the Republican Party." Graham's endorsement alone should tell us all that we need to know about Senator Scott.

Kristi Noem deserves credit for being the only Republican Governor who stood up against Scamdemic hysteria. However, her qualifications for the Vice-Presidency are a bit questionable. In many ways, she reminds one of Sarah Palin: a competent State governor but out of her depth on national issues. Like Sarah Palin too, Kristi Noem has mostly a symbolic attraction, appealing to the Oedipal Complexes which are endemic among American males on the Right.

The Vice-Presidential Question is reflective of a problem which plagued the Trump Administration and which the RNC has never addressed: the sheer lack of qualified people to operate an administration. Trump made some good picks: Sessions, Price, Zinke, Carson all did excellent jobs but most never even finished out their terms. Other picks were disasters: Mattis, 'Rainbow Rex' Tillerson, Pompeo, Bolton, and the insipid Mike Pence and William Barr for example.

The situation in 2024 is even worse than it was in 2016. Trump is basically a one-man Party with no supporting cast. Beyond Trump there's nothing but a vast wasteland of Neocons, 'New Right' whackos, and general incompetents. In 2022, Trump endorsements were the only thing that kept the Republicans from a major loss: and two years later the Party is operating on an even more slender thread. There's nothing---absolutely nothing---to show for even the small gains made in 2022.

Again, the best option for Conservatives is to ignore the political circus and concentrate on building communities and coalitions among like-minded people.

WHY POLLS ARE MEANINGLESS

Here in the Prozac Nation electoral politics are on about the same plane as events like the Super Bowl, the Academy Awards, WWE Monday Night Smackdown, etc. The outcome is determined already, but the spectacle is the important thing. Hollywood has conditioned Americans over the years to believe that life works like a scripted drama; and in a Managed Democracylike we now have, voting for political candidates is like audience participation in the whole performance.

Polls are an integral part of the performance. A poll released today, for example, by that wholly impartial paragon of Academic integrity, the University of Massachusetts, shows that "Fifty-eight percent of the respondents to the UMass-Amherst/WCVB said Biden has fallen short of their expectations, the highest rate in the four times the poll has asked this question. The latest poll also found Biden's overall approval rating to be 39%, which is down from 44% in June's poll."

Such numbers have the Controlled Opposition dancing around the story like a bunch of cannibals dancing around a stew-pot. They infer from these numbers that everyone 'dissatisfied by Biden' automatically are going to vote Republican instead. All that the poll actually shows is that voters aren't happy with the Junta's handling of various issues. As for any Red Wave resulting from any of this, consider that the Republicans' approval ratings are 1/3 of what Biden's are

The echo-chambers on the Establishment Right are trumpeting most loudly the numbers on Biden's handling of immigration and the economy---two of their main propaganda points even though the Republicans' solutions to immigration issues are draconian and unrealistic, and their economic program is nonexistent.

"According to the poll, Americans are most concerned about the way Biden has handled immigration, with 67% of respondents indicating he has handled the issue 'not too well' or 'not well at all.' At least half of those polled also had negative opinions of how the president has handled inflation, taxes, crime, jobs, climate change, the Israel-Hamas war and the Russia-Ukraine war. There was no issue included in the poll where respondents gave Biden a majority positive review. The poll found that 36% would describe the nation's economy as 'fair,' and 35% would describe it as 'poor.' Some of the most common words used to explain those ratings were 'inflation' and 'high prices.'"

The problem here is that there's no further explanation as to the roots of these dissatisfaction. Unlike many postmodern Conservatives, I actually know a few Democrat voters and even talk to them. Recently, I had occasion to talk to a few about contemporary politics. Though unhappy with Biden, here's how they described things:

NW: So, you don't like how Biden is handling Immigration. Why not?

Democrat: Look at the way he keeps caving to Republicans and letting those psychopath governors get away with defying federal law and dumping people on already overwhelmed communities---without even providing help for them.

NW: What about Biden's handling of the economy?

Democrat: Same thing. Biden has sold out unions and the working man and given free rein to Republican Corporate cronies to run wild. He hasn't stood up to these scumbags on any issue.

So, do we still want to pretend that Democrat voters are going to switch parties in droves and vote Republican this November? A dead giveaway to how Democrats actually see things ought to have been apparent when they listed Climate Change as one of the issues that they feel Biden isn't handling well. As for the other issues listed, the Republican position is no different than Biden's: in fact, often more extreme, such as dealing with Gaza and Ukraine.

It was also noteworthy that social issues didn't appear on the poll, and these are issues that the Controlled Opposition's pundits also discreetly sweep under the rug. Despite doing absolutely nothing on Right to Life issues for nearly 50 years, the Republicans reacted to the overturning of Roe vs. Wade by conceding to the Left. They cynically say that Abortion is a State's Rights issue: i.e., that they're fine with it as long as it only happens in Blue States and doesn't cut into the profit-margins of their clients in Big Pharma who traffic in fetal tissues and organ harvesting. Even pro-Abortion proponents see through this hypocrisy and it doesn't win any support from anybody.

The best thing that we can do is ignore these electoral polls and all the media hoopla and fake 'experts' analyses around them. Ultimately, they mean nothing at all, and divert attention and sow division so that the activities of the Corporate Deep State go on unnoticed and unchallenged.

US BEEF SUPPLY CONTINUES TO DECLINE AS PRICES SOAR

While weekend election-year dramas were focusing on debates on how we best can defend our borders against migrant farm-workers, how we can defend BlackRock's shipping interests in the Red Sea, and whom Taylor Swift might endorse for President, the USDA quietly slipped another rather embarrassing report under the media radar screen. It seems that American beef cattle production has reached a 73-year low: which most Americans probably noticed (if they weren't too stoned during shopping) at their local supermarkets. That is, for those who still have a local supermarket in Exceptional America.

These numbers need to be taken in some context. The US population in 1950 was about half of what it is today, so the smaller herd size then didn't have nearly the impact on prices from the demand-side that it has now.

Also, inflation rates have grown by over 1000% since then, while the adjusted income levels for all of us little people has been stagnated for over five decades

While all of this has been a benefit to Agribusiness consortia and the financial oligarchies funding them, it hasn't helped the American public too much. Because of these high prices, Americans often settle for lower-quality, less-healthy substitutes, which is reflected in our soaring obesity, type 2 diabetes, and infertility rates as well as our declining life expectancy rates.

Nobody is really bringing up any of these rather inconvenient issues during our biennial electoral circuses, although the Controlled Opposition will no doubt find some way to blame it all on immigrants leeching off the Food Stamp Program or the Chinese buying up American farmland. Given the millions that Big Ag spends on lobbying and that the majority of that spending lines GOP pockets, it's doubtful that anybody on the Right will have much to say about either Big Ag's or High Finance's hands in all of this price-gouging.

It is also highly likely that the influence of gangs of Corporate Crooks like the World Economic Forum will be dismissed as tin-foil hat conspiracy theories, even though the Commercial Oligarchs there have made no secret of their belief that there are too many useless eaters on the planet and indeed, fully 34 of the WEF's Elite Top 100 Strategic Partners are engaged in the Agribusiness Industry. Agribusiness giant Nestle is well-represented on the WEF Board of Trustees: in fact, the likely successor to Father Klaus when he goes the way of all flesh is the former CEO of Nestle, who not only believes that food chains should be in the hands of a few moneyed elites, but that water supplies should be as well. The Biden/Harris Junta has been reducing farmland in accordance with WEF goals and none of this has been challenged by Republicans in any way.

But let's go on believing instead that holding our noses and voting those evil Democrats out in November magically will fix everything. McDonald's will have 15-cent hamburgers again and all of their employees will be native-born Americans once the Republicans are back in charge. The Republicans won't do stupid things like imposing bogus Green Energy schemes that drive up food prices, right?

The best thing that most of us can do is organize campaigns like people doing abroad to buy local or from companies tied as little as possible to Big Ag. Network with local farmers and people who garden and raise their own food. Ignore the bloviating coming from both parties because neither have any solutions: in fact, everything they propose is counterproductive to our food security or public health. The fact that Marijuana is one of America's leading cash crops today and that most Americans have no idea how food is even produced shows about how much we can count on voting our way out of this.

THE CONTROLLED OPPOSITION'S WEEKEND WOES

The Biden/Harris Junta, while it doesn't actually have any effective control over the US Deep State, has ever since Afghanistan felt a compulsion to lash out against foreign enemies whenever the Controlled Opposition starts calling them a bunch of wimpy weenies. The Federal Government hasn't had much control over the Pentagon since the Bush-Clinton-Bush Era. Bush II especially did things like selling off military functions to Wall Street Robber Barons whose lobbyists write Congressional appropriations; and Junior infamously classified much of these budgetary matters away from public and even Congressional scrutiny. For the last decade, civilian oversight of the Pentagon has become mostly a Dead Letter or a Legal Fiction. Obama ordered the closure of Guantanamo and withdrawal from Iraq: the Pentagon is still in both places. And yes: when we had a manly Alpha leader in the next Administration, the Pentagon routinely ignored the Commander-in-Chief and even plotted his overthrow in 2020.

Biden allegedly announced retaliatory strikes against the Freedom Fighters in the Middle East who---like God's Army is allegedly doing in Texas---are trying to liberate their homelands from foreign invaders. Unlike Texas, Palestine, Syria, and Iraq really are occupied by foreign armed invaders; but in today's political Newspeak fighting back in their case makes them terrorists while jugheads who send the National Guard after asylum-seekers are considered brave heroes. It's only bad when the Arabs do it; and the top priority is to project an image of strength so that the stakeholders invested in Middle East interests and border security have their assets protected.

So, on Friday, the Junta announced that the Pentagon had launched 85 sorties in Iraq and Syria. The Syrian Observatory on Human Rights---for whatever their words are worth---claims that 13 Syrian casualties have been reported. There are reports from Iraq claiming that 16 enemy combatants were killed in that country. Roughly three out of four of these attacks failed to do any damage, which is actually better than their 'score' in the recent strikes against Yemen which averaged one casualty for every 10-12 bombings. Since that attack last month, at least three of BlackRock's cargo ships have been damaged and King Chuck's Royal Navy lost two ships, though that was by their own doing rather than Yemen's

The Conservative-Industrial Complex is already foaming that Biden's response wasn't sufficiently Alpha enough. At this point, it's doubtful that anything short of deploying an atomic bomb would satisfy these people---and even then they'd probably spin the narrative that Biden was weak for not dropping more of them. Granted an atomic war would suit the WEF goal of global depopulation and the ensuing Nuclear Winter would help fight global warming but think of how much stock-margins would go up with all of that rebuilding going on.

This week too, the activists in our Red Wave Congress gave more aid to NATO which has been conducting war games and whose leaders have been spouting a lot of rhetoric about the Russia Threat. Russia is another enemy of the West for doing things like defending its borders and other things that American Conservatives once stood for. It's only bad when Russia does it too.

Of course, we shouldn't doubt for one moment that all of these shows of NATO prowess really are directed at Russia and have nothing whatsoever to do with the wave of protests in Europe which are rapidly gaining momentum among the exasperated colonial subjects  European citizenry and whose governments owe whatever power they have to NATO tanks and bayonets. It does seem rather ironic, for those of us old enough to remember the Cold War, that American Conservatives are the ones wanting a new Iron Curtain, just like they want a Berlin Wall on our Southern Border. In Upside-Down Clown World anything is possible.

This isn't to say that Congress has been inactive: they've been holding more hearings. HRH Tech Lord Mark Zuckerburg's public-relations department thought it good theater to visit his subjects and testify before one of the seemingly endless Congressional hearings. The ostensible point of these displays was to trot out the tried-and-true diversionary tactic of Paedohysteria to fan American support for further expanding control over online content. It's all to protect the children, naturally and has nothing to do with the WEF's orders for governments to exercise greater control over the free flow of information.

The aforementioned Ron DeSantis, who has returned to Florida and is playing the tyrant with a vengeance since his failed presidential bid, is expected to sign a bill passed by his rump legislature restricting social media access for those under 16, obviously because parental rights and freedom of speech matter so much to these people. This is wholly in keeping with the same policies proposed by Left-Wing Establishment Democrats like NYC Mayor Eric Adams who said recently that "TikTok, YouTube and Facebook are fueling a mental health crisis by designing their platforms with addictive and dangerous features! We are the first major American city to take this step and call out the danger of social media like this! Just as the surgeon general did with tobacco and guns, we are treating social media like other public health hazards and ensuring that tech companies take responsibility for their products!"

The American Psychological Association, which is heavily funded by WEF-connected pharmaceutical cartels and activist NGOs also support such bans. The only other major country that I know of which blocks access to foreign social media sites and restricts access like this is China---which doesn't enjoy the same freedoms as we do in the exceptional United States. But, then again, it's only bad when the Chinese do it.

Considering that every year since 2018 has been a consistent series of losses for the Republican Party, one might assume that their policies of outdoing the Democrats in extremism isn't working out so well. Granted, 2018, 2019, and 2020 were riddled with electoral fraud; but it doesn't appear that the elections since are showing the Right much traction. Biden's approval numbers may be low, but the Republican Congress is barely able to crack single digits. The last three elections have been disasters for the Republicans and 2024 won't be any different. Too arrogant and too corrupt to change course, the Right has no plan or program capable of winning public support.

WHEN DID JIHAD BECOME A CONSERVATIVE VALUE?

While many on the American Right have struggled to distinguish actual Jihadists from anyone else of Middle Eastern origin, and have, in recent years, made themselves barely distinguishable from the American Left, apparently now have decided that the Leftist tactics they've adopted aren't extreme enough. Now, it appears that they've begun mimicking the Jihadists and calling for all-out holy wars of extermination against the infidels

This sentiment on the Right has been building up for some time and largely on the Red Pilled fringes of the Internet. Our side's appalling lack of any substance on issues has led it anybody with an 'R' after his name in hope of winning votes, support, (and contributions) from anywhere they can obtain it. Reagan's Big Tent quickly degenerated under the Bush Machine, first resembling a tent more akin to Bozo's Big Top, down to today where it most closely resembles the ethos of an urban tent-city bum jungle.

When a political ideology becomes as hopelessly ideologically bankrupt as Neoconservatism has, the natural tendency is break down to the crudest elements of political policy: force and deception. When the Zionists attacked the Gaza Strip, the bloodlust really surfaced on the American Right---right down to lauding the wholesale extermination of an entire people: women, children, infants, indistinguishably. Late last month, a gang of yahoos calling itself God's Army has decided to mobilize and advance on Texas in hopes of violent confrontation against an alleged 'immigrant invasion.' So-called 'Conservative' politicians---not content with censuring sitting members of Congress and ignoring overt bribery attempts from foreign interests for not displaying sufficient loyalty to exceptionalist Cultural Imperialism---have today gone even further. Failed presidential candidate Ron DeSantis is demanding the expulsion, proscription, and deportation of Congressmen on purely policy grounds. While DeSantis' positions on political dissent are little different than Klaus Schwab's, they do seem somewhat against the spirit of the U.S. Constitution.

The Pentagon's recent humiliations in Ukraine and the Middle East have the American Jihadists especially riled up and demanding that something be done about Iran---the bloodier the better. Nobody is asking why we should do anything about Iran, it seems that the necessity of beating somebody into the ground is self-evident, like settled science is on the Left. The Ayatollahs, for their part, don't seem especially worried---unlike our so-called Department of Defense, they've actually spent the last three decades building up a defensive military infrastructure.

I suspect that this is one of the unspoken factors driving the hysteria in the Postmodern Right. It becomes apparent with their obsessional fixations on perceived American weakness. At the beginning of this century, the Neocons' Grand Poobah, George Bush Jr., asserted that "our enemies envy us because of our freedoms," shortly before he went on to dismantle our Constitution and sell off our government to unelected Corporate bureaucrats at breakneck speed.

The Politics of Envy, a political talking-point of that Administration, has, like most of the rhetoric back then, gone from a slight against opponents to a mainstream attitude on the Right. The leadership of the so-called Conservative Movement is, I believe, actually envious of what they see in Iran, Russia, China, and even the immigrant population here. Those people are accomplishing what we should be accomplishing. Immigrants come here with nothing, work hard and build communities. China is surpassing us economically and technologically. Both Russia and Iran have built prosperous countries upon their respective traditional values---not only without Western intervention, but in spite of it. This can't help but grate on the promoters of a New American Century and a Pax Americana who managed in a little over 30 years to produce a failed state wholly dependent upon the arbitrary will of a handful of Corporate Fascists.

This situation, too, explains why the Postmodern Right has so eagerly absorbed the vileness of the Red Pill Cult, rebranded the Alt-Right. That whole movement was built by alienated and marginalized social pariahs desperate to compensate for their Inferiority Complexes by asserting themselves as Alpha supermen by displaying and embracing the same negative stereotypes that their so-called opponents depicted in them. Instead of working on improving themselves, they fixated on owning the Libtards, and now this dangerous perspective has expanded to 'owning' foreign powers, including refugees who come to our country.

The Jihadist movement in the Middle East came from that same psychosocial mindset. ISIS and Al-Qaeda recruited heavily from the disillusioned who eagerly blamed every problem on some external scapegoat. They counterparts of the American Red Pills with their heretical Wahhabi and Salafist imams who perverted Islam just like our demagogues are perverting Christianity. The Jihadists only differ from the Postmodern Right in the details of what they sought to accomplish: the methods they employ and the morality they display are more or less identical. Indiscriminate brutality and barbarism; contempt for the 'weak' and celebration of power and ruthlessness---it differs in no material aspect.

Ultimately, this is why the political Right in America is bound to fail. They've so completely distanced themselves from any of the values they claim to uphold that their only means of survival is to keep building the illusion of strength instead working to be strong. This again is reflective of the whole 'Alpha' mindset which depends on faking masculinity instead of actually practicing it on an individual level. It breaks down inevitably when someone calls the bluff, as Iran and others are now doing.

We who still hold to Conservative values need to start calling the bluff too. Since 2020, the Republican Party has accomplished nothing but racking up a series of humiliating losses which get worse every year. Yet the pundits on the Right keep peddling the most egregious nonsense---arguments with no connection whatsoever to reality---and all that they will likely accomplish is securing the Left's grip on power for at least another decade. It may be too late to save the Republican Party, but seeing it for what it is can lay the groundwork for a future movement based upon actual principles.

PRO-ISRAEL NEOCONS GET CAUGHT FUNDING MIGRANT CARAVANS

For some reason, in spite of all evidence to the contrary, American Conservatives want desperately to cling to the Official Narrative promoted by the Corporate Media and Academia Incorporated that the two main US political parties are deeply divided and represent two fundamental and distinct ideologies. The Republicans had no issue siding with the Democrats during the Color Revolution of 2020 which installed the Biden/Harris Junta; in fact, they've rubber-stamped the Junta's policies or at least haven't challenged them too much.

Yes, there has been some political theater on the Right: the fake impeachments and hearings that are going nowhere; some gubernatorial grandstanding about banning Tik-Tok, cancelling Disney or other such nonsense; screaming about the Junta's 'weakness' etc. This is all for show: the RNC is working together with the DNC to manage the political climate to the advancement of the Great Reset. We've seen, for example, their duplicity in the recent budget deals and their underhanded scheming with the Democrats to disqualify Trump as a candidate.

It shouldn't be surprising to learn then, that Republican assets have been working hand-in-glove with Soros-backed groups to foment the so-called 'crisis at our Southern Border.' Our old friend Ben Shapiro, it appears, has been exposed as a major donor to the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society which funds the Migrant Caravans which have grabbed so many headlines. There have been several allegations on the Internet that groups like HIAS use Israeli military surplus and technical advice in organizing these mass-migrations; however nobody's holding their breath waiting for Congressional Hearings over that

It should be stressed again that the Border Crisis is largely a manufactured hoax, engineered by both sides of the Political Establishment. Actual numbers of immigration---both legal and illegal have been down over this entire decade while deportations have been higher. The problem has been stemming from these 'border surges' and Migrant Caravans---funded by the likes of Soros and Shapiro (with the possible collusion of the Israeli Government)---which overwhelm the Borders at given intervals creating the illusion of an uncontrolled 'invasion.' Both sides of the Corporate Media focus on these events as normative, and both sides discreetly sweep under the rug any questions about holding the Open Society Foundation or HIAS accountable for causing it. Both the Republican and Democrat elements of the Deep State find the immigration issue a useful tool in their Strategy of Tension which is directed at sowing chaos and fear to create a popular consensus for stronger and more centralized government.

There are many on the Right who don't want to accept these facts. I understand their desire to hold on to optimism: but as someone recently said "When your optimism is based on an illusion, that's not hope, it's fantasy." If we really want to change things, we can't go on clinging to illusions. Our Immigration System is radically defective, but so are most of our other systems and we have to face the facts that these defects are by design and nobody in positions of power has the least intention of actually fixing them.

It's an old tactic. Back in the days of our European forefathers, the noble degenerates would stir up among the peasants fear of some outlying group to the point of hysteria; then they'd sit back on the castle walls drinking cocktails watching the villagers turn on each other. When they got bored enough, or the fighting was interfering with their economic interests, they'd send in the knights to restore order and the villagers would end up on their knees kissing their royal majesties' rings for seeing their plight and caring so much about them.

It's no different today, although we peasants of the 21st Century have the advantage (for now) of being able to bring the crimes of the self-appointed 'Elites' to public exposure more easily. The problem, then as now though is getting anyone to listen.

SUMMERS OF LOVE AND WINTERS OF OUR DISCONTENT

As we mentioned in an earlier post, a Migrant Caravan armed convoy calling itself God's Army is converging on the Chaz Zone  Shelby Park in Eagle Pass, Texas where Antifa thugs Christian Nationalists are declaring themselves de facto independent from the Federal Government. Like their earlier Democrat counterparts in Seattle, the Texas Republican Establishment is proclaiming this a peaceful protest; though since it's late January, the GOP can't very well appropriate the same Summer of Love theme that apologists on the Left had.

The peaceful protesters in Seattle and God's Army are (at least superficially anyway) on opposite poles politically; however one thing that both popular uprisings have in common is that the Federal Government seems utterly impotent to deal with them. This has led some in the foreign press to the interesting speculation that the US may be headed for the same end as the USSR three decades ago.

There are similarities between the two situations. It became apparent during the late 1980s that the Soviet Union was a failed State until it finally collapsed and dissolved in 1991. It's been obvious since 2020 that the United States is also a failed State. However differences end there. In the Soviet case, everyone knew that the system had failed; Americans are fighting to hold the illusion that we have not. In the USSR, the central government was the Soviet Politburo and with its bankruptcy went the nation. In the US, the central government is also bankrupt but the de facto government at the World Economic Forum and on Wall Street are very much solvent. The USSR was fortunate to have patriotic and intelligent leaders like Vladimir Putin who knew what had to be done and organized themselves to do it and restore and rebuild a functioning republic. The US has no such leadership nor organization.

Secession is no more a realistic possibility than 'Civil War 2.0.' The chances are much higher that we will devolve into a Technofascist dictatorship like the Israeli or Canadian Government. We are not experiencing a system collapse: what we are experiencing is more like a Controlled Demolition of the old system so that the Great Reset can take its place.

If we look at a map of the US and statistics by State, we see the impossibility of secession. In the Iron Curtain, everyone knew that the Soviet Union was really Russia. The US States have no such dominant power and are far too interdependent upon each other and the Federal Government in DC to break up as smoothly. For one thing, most of the US is completely landlocked. The majority of State Governments are just as much failures as the Federal Government, and probably outside of California, Texas, and Florida none really even have the potential to become self-sustaining.

There is a Constitutional procedure for secession, though no state has ever done it. A State can secede legally if their Legislature approves it, and petitions Congress and its move is ratified and signed into law by the President. It's the same procedure as joining the Union. A State which declares its independence unilaterally is deemed under American Law to be in a state of Rebellion.

Now let us suppose that Texas legally secedes from the Union. I don't think that the online proponents of this idea have thought about the actual aftermath very deeply. The American propensity for acting first and thinking later could have some serious consequences.

For a start, Texas would lose all of its representation in Congress, and every Texan now holding a position in the Federal Government would lose his job and have to return to Texas. That includes the Military. Are there jobs for these people? By the way, Texas would receive no more federal subsidies for things like unemployment, Social Security, or pensions. All of the federal welfare spending would become the sole responsibility of Texas taxpayers.

Texas would also lose all federal funding for its National Guard (and note that all of its equipment, including future replacement parts come from the United States). It would lose all funding for Border Security, highway and road systems, waterways, the power grid, the public schools and universities, police departments, libraries, public transportation, maintaining its ports, and it would have to operate its own postal system. All of this would be paid for by Texas taxpayers.

The Border that the State seems so concerned about is bounded by a river that is an international waterway. Texas would have to sign a treaty with both the US and Mexico for access to it. Other rivers like the Red River in the north would also become an international boundary. All of the migrant deportations that Texas is so proud of would have to be conducted across international instead of state boundaries: indeed, Texans would need its own system of passports to travel outside the State. What about Federal transportation like Amtrak that goes through Texas? About pipelines or economic trade agreements that would have to be signed? Has anyone thought about these things?

What about Federal property in Texas? US Military bases, federal buildings, national parks, etc. would all be evacuated and closed. Do the US taxpayers who paid for these structures receive any compensation? What about all of the US tax dollars spent in Texas since Reconstruction---will they owe the United States for any of this?

On the subject of money, Texas Independence would mean that the State would have to set up its own Central Bank and print and back its own currency against an international exchange-rate. When Texas briefly was independent during the 1840s, their inability to have a stable currency was one of the main reasons that they joined the United States.

Secession is a lot easier to talk about than actually doing, which is why it will never go beyond talking. Today's Americans are notoriously adverse to self-sacrifice and hard work: which is what any State would need to do to make itself a Republic. Wishful thinking to the contrary, Texans are no different than the rest of America in that respect. Shelby Park will end up like the Chaz Zone did and Texas is going to stay in the Union.
