POSTMODERN TRASH CULTURE AND THE NEW RIGHT

          The blog Cafe Hayek often has some worthwhile links, and yesterday had an especially good one to an article explaining the Postmodern Right. 

         "Nothing good will come of the political right adopting the postmodernist playbook of the political left. Postmodernism is a strain of philosophy that constantly questions the rules, pokes holes in objective truths, and turns the serious business of metaphysics (is reality out there or in our heads?), epistemology (how we know), morality, and—yes—politics into a skeptic mishmash of perspectives and performances. It’s fundamentally a negation of Enlightenment philosophy which champions reality, reason, objective truth, rationality, individualism, respect for and protection of individual rights, limited government...

        "MAGA and Trump fit postmodernism to a T, embracing many of its classic attitudes—mostly without bothering about the philosophy behind. In the MAGA universe, truth is less about cold, hard facts and more about what sticks—what sounds right, feels true, or gets shouted loudest...MAGA’s appeal is not about nuance or introspection but about feeling—group chants, red hats, and bombastic speeches create a shared experience. It’s politics you don’t just watch but participate in; through cheers, memes, and retweets, everyone gets a role in the show. This is pure postmodernism: the medium is the message, and the message is whatever credibility the crowd decides to grant it." 

      Exactly. The crowd which preaches most loudly that 'facts don't care about your feelings,' is largely a feelings-driven movement. In the case of the New Right, their interpretation of what 'facts' are is not based on Reason, but often on raw emotion fueled by mob psychology. 

         The Bacchanalia staged on Sunday in an Arizona sport-stadium---ostensibly to memorialize slain Christian Nationalist provocateur Charlie Kirk---was an example of what the author called a “who cares if the narrative makes sense, as long as it works attitude." The spectacle---complete with dramatic, pyrotechnic displays and political celebrities---had many online comments comparing it to a Superbowl Half-Time show. To my mind, the pseudo-Christian wallpapering gave it the feel of a Megachurch Praise-a-Thon. Very probably the event was managed by the same people who manage these other spectacles.

      The New Right's most obsequious toadies in the Corporate Media really outdid themselves setting even lower bars than they've already crossed in reducing the Narrative to the Lowest Common Denominators imaginable.

       All of this would be revolting enough by itself. At least with Trash-Culture theatrics, we mostly can wince and ignore them. The key difference here is that this is government-organized theater: and, because it designed to translate in Official Policy, it is not spectacle, it is propaganda. In 2021, we explained here how such systems of orchestrated propaganda function. As we showed in that series, the Left Wing of the Uniparty has no monopoly on using such tactics upon the general public. 

     Essentially, propagandists begin with a Basic Doctrine that they wish to promote. They float the idea through their shills in the Media to generate discussion. The next step is to reduce the Basic Doctrine to slogans and sound-bites and finally condensing it into a symbol which stands for the main idea. Soviet propagandists explained the process in a simple diagram:

       The Postmodern counterparts of these earlier propagandists have augmented the earlier system with a Strategy of Tension: the 'Basic Doctrine' of today relies on creating an 'Enemy Within;' hence the necessity of encouraging social division and mutual suspicion. (Earlier authoritarian regimes promoted the idea of maintaining a stable society under threat from external enemies). The end goal is the same: to condition the public into accepting a powerful elite as their only hope of gaining or maintaining security and stability.

     In this case, the 'Basic Doctrine' of the Postmodern Right is the creation of a strong central Government. It moves to the next step by promoting authoritarian means to effect those ends (e.g. mass deportations, the establishment of State Security Police forces, building concentration camps, etc.). It then reinforces the doctrines with slogans ('we are at war with internal enemies who want you dead!'). In this case, Charlie Kirk has been elevated to a symbol of 'what we are fighting against.' Throughout Sunday's rally, the Basic Doctrine was salted all throughout the performance. President Trump received a standing ovation for suggesting that crushing opposition was a holy crusade dedicated to Kirk's memory:

               The author of the linked article concluded with an appeal to some serious soul-searching among American Conservatives. This appeal needs to be extended to American Christians. Is the New Right and Christian Nationalism the definition of what we stand for? Or is it a dangerous innovation contrary to our traditions? 

      

CHARLIE KIRK: FACT AND FICTION

        The events of this past week, probably more than any other previous to it, should have convinced even the most hard-core denialists that the 'New Right' is really the Reactionary Left: Bush-Era Neoconservatism re-packaged and re-framed as 'Christian Conservatism' and 'populism.' The shooting of a Koch-sponsored Reactionary mouthpiece in Utah has been elevated into the same kind of unthinking martyrology that characterized the mass-hysteria surrounding the death of career criminal George Floyd five years ago---down to the same slogans, the same Cancel Culture tactics, and the same blatantly staged events.

       Like the Floyd Case five years ago, the Corporate Media---encouraged by Government strong-arming and Corporate-directed firings of a few high-profile people as examples---has engaged in the most obsequious grovelling, rewriting the legacy of slain Christian Nationalist edgelord Charlie Kirk to fit the Official Narrative. To read these propaganda pieces, one would get the impression that Kirk was a modest young fellow from a typical American background who turned to political activism by engaging in wholesome debates on high school and college campuses. In reality, Kirk came from an upper-middle class home---his father was the architect who designed Trump Towers---and was introduced to high-profile operatives from a young age. He was a campaign staffer for a Senate candidate in 2010 and began publishing on Steven Bannon's site Breitbart in 2012. Turning Point USA, with considerable funding from Reactionary front-groups and NGOs, was founded the same year. 

     The history of TPUSA has been anything but pro-1st Amendment both in its actions and positions that it stood for. As we pointed out in our previous post, WH operative Stephen Miller and Vice-President J.D. Vance publicly admitted that they were working with Kirk to identify and stamp out opponents of the Government. TPUSA maintains watch-lists of individuals deemed their enemies which have led to violence, such as the Florida State shooting which happened only a few weeks before Kirk's own demise in Utah. Kirk also routinely called for the suppression of pro-Palestinian demonstrators as well. As for Kirk's own supposed modest and mild-mannered debating style, the readers can judge on't for themselves. 

     The Corporate Media is also doing its best to scrub any connections between Kirk and Christian Nationalists and their Alpha flying monkeys in the Alt-Right. In 2017, Ivan Throne, a hero to the Red Pills, who posts under the avatar Dark Triad Man, spoke at TPUSA’s Mountain West Regional Conference in Denver; and there are many other such examples. 

      One of the co-founders of TPUSA Faith was Simi Valley Megachurch pastor, Rob McCoy, a proponent of the Seven Mountains Mandate. Kirk himself served on the Board of the Council for National Policy, which was co-founded by Tim LaHaye, a Hollywood figure behind the infamous Left Behind series, and Paul Weyrich, who also co-founded the Deep-State Heritage Foundation. Heritage has been at the forefront of current censorship drives, beginning with their Blueprint Project Esther published in 2024; which outlined the effectiveness of the Strategy of Tension as a way of controlling media outlets under the pretext of fighting 'anti-Semitism.' It should be recalled in this context that Heritage was also the architect of the Scamdemic initiative which became the blueprint for Biden's Build Back Better initiative and Trump's current Stargate Project. While Kirk was giving speeches questioning the Scamdemic, Heritage was recommending "stabilizing the health care system; establishing enhanced testing, reporting, and contact tracing; and continuing to follow CDC mitigation guidelines." Kirk was even touring with Vivek Ramaswamy, who made a fortune in a Soros-backed venture to capitalize on Scamdemic vaccines and mandates.

     TPUSA's history has been filled with unsavory characters like these. Benny Johnson, a serial plagiarist and Christian Nationalist who holds up Andrew Tate as a role model,  is TPUSA's Creative Content Officer (and Johnson has been known to be quite creative). Their National Field Officer Director, Crystal Clanton, stepped down after her texts were exposed saying, “I hate black people. … End of story.” It's rumored that Ben Shapiro will be taking over for Kirk at TPUSA, which tells us all about we need to know about this organization.

     The question facing Christians and Conservatives today is: Is Charlie Kirk the example of what American Christianity stands for? Too long we've sat on the fence and let these moneyed interests, Christian Nationalist and Supremacist fanatics, and general crooks define what our faith stands for. We need to make a choice. Reactionary politics and faith simply don't mix. 

     

     

THE WOKE RIGHT EXPANDS ITS CANCEL CULTURE REACH

       With the Woke Right aggressively appropriating Whacko-Left Cancel Culture and Political Correctness to its own ends, some writers are beginning to see the New Order for what it really is. The erosion of Constitutional Rights in the US has of course been going on steadily for a long time. However, as we are currently entering the Accelerationist Phase of the Great Reset, the New Right is openly doing what was formerly done in the shadows and behind-the-scenes. 

      The Accelerationists announced their intentions during the 2024 Campaign with Project 2025 and, in January, signaled it again by adopting the Bush-Era military term Shock and Awe and applying it domestically. The wholesale assault on the First Amendment began almost immediately (in this Administration) with an accelerated attack and subsequent purges conducted upon anyone who criticized American support for the Zionist Regime and its ongoing atrocities. This was done under the pretext of fighting Anti-Semitism. Last week's shooting of slimy Christian Nationalist edgelord Charlie Kirk has been the impetus for a second acceleration. The beatification of an online grifter has found more than willing support from so-called Christian Conservatives who are only too eager to deny the reality of what Kirk actually stood for.

         Vice-President J.D. Vance, whose last foray into matters of the Spirit was forcing himself onto Pope Francis' deathbed to shame the Pontiff for daring to assert that non-Whites were still Children of God, seized upon the Kirk shooting for further publicity. Vance flew his Air Force jet to Utah to retrieve Kirk's carcass for a carefully-staged and choreographed funeral ceremony. Somewhere along the line, the marketing strategists and Hollywood producers came up with a plan to have Vance host Kirk's podcast on Monday. 

        Vance didn't waste any time getting to the plan. After a few token Christian-sounding platitudes, he brought on Stephen Miller, who is simultaneously one of the White House's top strategists and one of its most brutal psychopaths. Vance posed the question: "What is it that you and I have been working on, what the whole administration has been working on to try to make sure that we don’t reward and promote this craziness?" ('Craziness' referring here to the shooting and not his own policies, we should point out for context). Miller responded:

      "Yes ... I have said this before ... but it bears repeating. The last message that Charlie sent me was, I think it was just the day before we lost him, which is that we need to have an organized strategy to go after the left-wing organizations that are promoting violence in this country...We are going to channel all of the anger that we have over the organized campaign that led to this assassination to uproot and dismantle these terrorist networks...It is a vast domestic terrorist movement. With God as my witness, we are going to use every resource we have at the Department of Justice, Homeland Security and throughout this government to identify, disrupt, dismantle and destroy these networks…"

    Which statement was basically an admission that Miller, Vance, and their confederates had such a plan in place before the Kirk shooting happened. Whatever one may think about the upcoming media-circus Trial of the Century being arranged for Tyler Robinson, it's clear from Miller's remarks that the White House was waiting for an incident that they could exploit to extend their already-burgeoning police powers to their political opponents. 

     Meanwhile, our bubble-headed Attorney-General went on a podcast hosted by Miller's domestic partner and vowed that those failing to pass the new Purity Test of displaying sufficient outrage over Kirk's demise to state that “We will absolutely target you, go after you if you are targeting anyone with hate speech, anything."  Ms. Pamela also added that the Private Sector also has a duty to act as enforcers: “Employers have an obligation to get rid of people. You need to look at people who are saying horrible things and they shouldn’t be working with you.”

      Now, the Uniparty and their Corporate Overlords have learned from experience that the American public not only will submit to any absurdity; they will try and outdo one another in the scramble to fall in line. In a culture like ours which is now  defined by the worship of power and shafting one's fellow-man, staying ahead of the Power Curve by grabbing onto any New Normal that comes along is considered smart personal strategy; standing for Right over Wrong, not so much. It's like Klaus Schwab famously said: "In today's economy, it's not the big fish who swallow the little fish: it's the fast fish who swallow the slow fish."

     Sadly, too, American churches---who should be speaking out the loudest---are falling into line with the New Order as well. Lest any Christian is tempted to go off script and start questioning whether doing things like getting other people fired and blacklisted might be inconsistent with Christ's teachings, we have these words of sage advice from Matt Walsh:

        In other words, your conscience shouldn't bother you too much if you destroy people's lives over personal or political opinions because of that Holy Absolute which mandates that we're right because we say so. After all, if that devout Man of God Pete Hegseth can go around torpedoing speed-boats for sport; and Christian role-models like those Christian Warriors in ICE can round up immigrants and dump them in Concentration Camps; and the most pro-Christian Administration in History can provide munitions for barbaric regimes to exterminate entire peoples---denouncing a 'Liberal' to the authorities should be no big deal. Remember too that in the pre-Enlightenment Golden Age---where these Reactionaries would like to take Society---people were burned at the stake when they started thinking for themselves, and that hasn't happened here (not yet anyway).

      For those whose idea of Faith doesn't include things like Crusades and Inquisitions, we need to stand up and start speaking out. Many are starting to do so, as the Reality of what we're up against becomes increasingly difficult to deny any longer. 

      

      

     

    

      

WOKE RIGHT CHANNELS TIANANMEN TRUDEAU

        While we realize here that it's difficult for most Americans to remember what happened last week---let alone three or four years ago---several things that came out during the weekend News Cycle brought back memories. 

          Of course, even back then Americans couldn't be roused from their lethargy to support Freedom Fighters on our Northern Frontier---any more than they can be roused to challenge it when it happens here. 

          This weekend, the White House announced an initiative to crack down on those not showing sufficient grief for slain Christian Nationalist Charlie Kirk. Even though creating a Disinformation Governance Board was bad when the Democrats attempted it, the Woke Right has no issue with bringing it back under their control. The World Economic Forum made combating online disinformation (i.e. establishing censorship regimens) a top priority for their satrapies to implement in 2023 and 2024. The Democrats having failed, the New Right is giving it a try.

       Always on the Cutting Edge of implementing Police-State terror; Texas Governor Greg Abbott is proactively making sure that Free Speech has no place within his jurisdiction.

        Sure: but let's all just keep telling ourselves that the Republicans aren't part of a Globalist Uniparty and that they're really there to save us from Authoritarianism. Let's not forget either that they're still the most Free Speech Administration in History. 

                

THE CHURCH OF THE NEW ORDER

        Amidst the orchestrated outrage and virtue-signalling over slain Christian Nationalist Charlie Kirk, it's noteworthy that Kash Patel and his mobsters have been releasing very few details about either the murder or the suspect. There have been some very selective 'leaks' and 'unnamed sources' dropped to fuel the online rage-bait and the rumor mills. This is having the desired effect as calls for Scamdemic-level Police State action are flooding the internet. 

         Meanwhile, at the Commonwealth Club in San Francisco, a totally non-partisan and wholly disinterested venue only committed to presenting high-level programs on the most pressing national concerns, is hosting another of the Woke Right's Christo-Fascist champions starting Monday. 

          

         Peter Thiel, a WEF Young Global Leader, co-CEO of Palantir; a sworn Globalist, Transhumanist, and enemy of Democracy who lives with another man and is still under suspicion in the death of one of his male lovers, is slated to speak on a topic with which he seems to have a strange obsession: the Antichrist.  As the promotional page notes, Thiel is "speaking about how his Christian Faith informs his understanding of the world." Given the catalog of crimes that Thiel has engaged in---a list that would make even Pagans blush with shame were they accused of it---one would think that Americans Christians might question whether or not Thiel actually represents their values. Sadly, though, much like the case with Charlie Kirk, American Christians are willing to overlook a few peccadilloes so long as their spiritual guides are based and Red-Pilled. 

        Quite interesting are the religious thinkers whom Thiel claims to draw upon for inspiration. Rene Girard, for example, held the minor doctrinal difference from most Christians that Christ's Crucifixion has no connection with redemption from sin. Cardinal Newman and Dean Swift were both British clerics and academics and notably, in this context, were admirers of Mediaeval social systems. Francis Bacon, who is considered by some the intellectual forefather of postmodern Scientism, once wrote a Utopian novel titled New Atlantis depicting an ideal State run by a Scientific Elite. 

        Carl Schmitt is also listed as influence, probably the least-known today of the other writers: although in Weimar Republic of the 1920s, he was a highly respected specialist on Law and Political Science. One of the reasons that Schmitt isn't widely studied today is because he was a Nazi; and his theories helped shape the laws and policies of the Third Reich. Nonetheless, Thiel and his followers see him as an important influence. Another historical political leader who admired Schmitt greatly and patronized him even after Schmitt fell out of favor with the Regime was Hermann Goering. 

       Thiel's lectures are sponsored by the Silicon Valley-based ACTS 17 Coalition. An interview with its CEO published in Christianity Today, gives us some insight into the nature and condition of Postmodern American spirituality. Here are a few highlights:

      "God is using each and every one of us in our skills and talents and giftings to serve his kingdom; and in his kingdom, he wants everyone. Maybe we’ve been neglecting the rich and wealthy because we’ve thought that they’re gods, right? They can take care of themselves. That is such an illusion. If anything, they need God even more, because the pressure of being “gods” themselves is so great."

      "Also, connection, community, going into the Word, reading a piece of theology, reading Scripture, going to church, coming together with other Christians to talk about these big questions you have, doing an Alpha Course. {nota bene} Like I said, we’re in really early stages with this, less than a year in—but it’s those things we are compelling people {nota bene} to do."

      "We’re living in a post-Christian place. People have not heard the gospel from their parents or grandparents. They do not know Jesus. What an incredible opportunity, where we’re situated, to deliver the message of the gospel in a fresh new way, meeting them exactly where they are and bringing them toward Jesus."

       All throughout this interview (including its title), we see a disturbing train of thought that many familiar with Mediaeval Christianity probably recognized: that the Elite has an obligation to deceive the masses for its own good; and that the Elites alone are guardians of arcane knowledge of Spiritual matters. This is quite consistent too with the Dark Enlightenment which Thiel and others like him promote. 

     The question that we need to ask here again: Are American Christians going to continue looking the other way and allowing specimens like Kirk and Thiel to hijack the Faith and define what is Christian and what isn't? We had better start coming to grips with the fact that these people are making a mockery of Faith and if we don't start calling them out, we'll get the neo-Feudalist Christianity they envision---complete with Inquisitors and Ecclesiastical Tribunals. 

      

THE WOKE RIGHT'S SUMMER OF LOVE

          It's a good thing that the Democrats didn't get in again. Remember the Summer of 2020 when Cancel Culture was ramping up and the Corporate Media was making a martyr out of a thug, and the Uniparty was coming together in love to root out the enemy within? 

         

       

        

           Yes: it's a good thing that those dark days of 2020 are all behind us now, and we no longer have those Commie Libtards running around exploiting a crook's death to foment division and expand their power. 

           Let's see what the weekend brings.

THE NEW RIGHT'S GEORGE FLOYD MOMENT

         Yesterday, media figure and political provocateur Charlie Kirk was shot by a sniper, joining Coach Red Pill and UHC CEO Brian Thompson in the Canon of martyrs beatified by the New Right. Kirk was the head of Turning Point USA, an organization heavily-funded and supported by Christian Nationalists and other unsavory organizations. Kirk's last foray into the news cycle was his teaming up with JD Vance and Donald Trump Jr in the attempt to foment a hostile takeover of Greenland. As of this writing, Kirk's killer has not been caught, although Kash Patel's bungling FBI (twice) grabbed the wrong guy while the real suspect slipped away.

       

      Most Americans probably had never heard of Charlie Kirk, but the New Right is never one to let a good crisis go to waste. Aided and abetted by the Corporate Media, Kirk's shooting has reached near George Floyd levels of hype. Even though a suspect or a motive hasn't been named, high-level personalities and pundits are making sure that the enemy within is blamed.

     Within minutes, Utah Governor Spencer Cox, another Neocon who switched from denouncing Trump on Jan 6 to believing today that the Orange Man has a Divine Mandate, told us confidently that the shooting was "politically motivated." Elon Musk, echoing some of Stephen Miller's remarks last week, chimed in, blaming the nebulous 'Left' for the crime. 

    The White House, more ominously, vowed not only to find the shooter but promised a crackdown on those who (defined by themselves) encourage such actions. The White House specifically targeted again the 'Left.' Social Media and the punditocracy are calling for even more drastic measures, as we could imagine.

    Now, in June of this year, two Democrat Legislators in Minnesota were targeted and gunned down by a New Right fanatic the story disappeared and President Trump himself refused to confer with Governor Tim Walz over it. Trump himself was targeted last year by a Stand-With-Ukraine crackpot---neither of which has been met with the same sort of fanfare surrounding the death of Charlie Kirk. Kirk himself was certainly no stranger to advocating political violence (when employed against the right people, of course). 

         Likewise, Kirk is being lionized by the so-called Christian Right, in spite of some of his rather unchristian positions.

        The current US Government is neither Conservative nor Christian. They are Reactionary Liberals, hence it is not surprising that they would adopt the same tactics that the Left (and others) once used in making a fake martyr out of a truly disgusting human being. We need to be on our guard against any other tactics they may borrow from the Left in exploiting this incident for power and control.
