THIS IS MORE LIKE IT

       Contrary to what many believe, a lot of us who've opposed the New Right and dare to criticize Trump 47 actually do wish that Trump 45 would come back. Trump's previous term actually did have a strong populist element; and the Globalists, Red Pills, and other assorted extremists were the ones sitting outside the fence throwing stones. That situation has very much been reversed, to put it mildly. 

       Thus when the President signed another Executive Order yesterday, we feared for the worst despite the superficial positive opening. After reading the official statement from the White House and the Executive Order itself (three times to make certain that I wasn't dreaming), it almost felt like 2017 all over again. 

       "Endemic vagrancy, disorderly behavior, sudden confrontations, and violent attacks have made our cities unsafe.  The number of individuals living on the streets in the United States on a single night during the last year of the previous administration — 274,224 — was the highest ever recorded.  The overwhelming majority of these individuals are addicted to drugs, have a mental health condition, or both.  Nearly two-thirds of homeless individuals report having regularly used hard drugs like methamphetamine, cocaine, or opioids in their lifetimes.  An equally large share of homeless individuals reported suffering from mental health conditions.  The Federal Government and the States have spent tens of billions of dollars on failed programs that address homelessness but not its root causes, leaving other citizens vulnerable to public safety threats.

Shifting homeless individuals into long-term institutional settings for humane treatment through the appropriate use of civil commitment will restore public order.  Surrendering our cities and citizens to disorder and fear is neither compassionate to the homeless nor other citizens.  My Administration will take a new approach focused on protecting public safety."

      The 'new approach' is summarized as follows:

• The Order directs the Attorney General to reverse judicial precedents and end consent decrees that limit State and local governments’ ability to commit individuals on the streets who are a risk to themselves or others.  
• The Order requires the Attorney General to work with the Secretary of Health and Human Services, Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, and the Secretary of Transportation to prioritize grants for states and municipalities that enforce prohibitions on open illicit drug use, urban camping and loitering, and urban squatting, and track the location of sex offenders.
• The Order redirects funding to ensure that individuals camping on streets and causing public disorder and that are suffering from serious mental illness or addiction are moved into treatment centers, assisted outpatient treatment, or other facilities.
• The Order ensures discretionary grants for substance use disorder prevention, treatment, and recovery do not fund drug injection sites or illicit drug use.
• The Order stops sex offenders who receive homelessness assistance from being housed with children, and allows programs to exclusively house women and children.

       This move was long overdue. The scourge of homelessness/vagrancy has been a blot on our society for far too long, and the President is correct in saying that the policies pretending to address the problem have failed. Of the number of around 275,000 cited in Executive Order, it's estimated that about 1/2 to 2/3 of that total infest the West Coast. Some cities in California, Oregon, and Washington have become virtually uninhabitable because of it. 

     More to the point, the Executive Order goes beyond the superficial element of enforcement: it emphasizes rehabilitation and treatment for addiction and mental illness---things which none of the progressive policies promoted by the West Coast's Democrat Establishment ever bothered to address. In many ways, it's reminiscent of the successful campaign against the Opioid Crisis which saw overdose deaths and addiction rates decline between 2017-2019.

    Let's hope that this implemented and we'll be watching to see if it all goes off as planned. As was true of the anti-Opioid Program under Trump 45, there were a lot of vested interests who don't want such beneficial policies to succeed. As long as those interests can't interfere, this can nothing but improve Quality of Life for millions. 

WOKE RIGHT MAYOR CALLS FOR MASS-EXTERMINATION

      One of the remarkable features of the Postmodern United States that distinguishes us from other civilized nations is our tolerance (and likely even encouragement) of violent, often mentally ill and drug-addicted persons to terrorize and to pollute our city streets. We even encounter it in smaller towns. While there is a massive industry that profits off human misery, the policy is part of the Strategy of Tension which we've discussed here many times. Essentially, this is a defined as a deliberate "political policy wherein violent struggle is encouraged rather than suppressed. The purpose is to create a general feeling of insecurity in the population and make people seek security in a strong government." 

    This is why other countries don't have this problem. The mentally ill and addicted are removed and given treatment and the criminal element is dealt with through the Legal System. But such a policy---like we used to have in the US---doesn't answer the purposes of would-be authoritarians and amoral opportunists lobbying for Government contracts; the majority of whom belong in institutions and jails themselves. 

     In California, where the vast majority of these problems are occurring, Republican Mayor Rex Parris of Lancaster, a city in Northern Los Angeles County, has suggested distributing Fentanyl among the homeless population to reduce their numbers. 

    “You know quite frankly I wish the president would give us a purge,” referring to the 2013 horror film which featured a 12-hour period in which all crime was legal. “Because we do need to purge these people. Now is it harsh of course it's harsh but it's my obligation as the mayor of the city of Lancaster to protect the hardworking families that live there.

    “There are a significant number of them that are criminals, that have no desire to work. You know in my religion, the Lord says if you don't work, you don't eat. Now what does that mean when you take it to its logical conclusion you know we should not be accommodating people who simply don't want to work I think that my constituents in Lancaster know exactly what I mean and know exactly that I am unwilling to accommodate criminals and that's why they have reelected me six times,”  crowning his vileness with religious hypocrisy.

         Sadly, Parris isn't alone among the New Right when it comes to promoting these kinds of authoritarian solutions. We've seen thugs like Texas Governor Greg Abbott suggest shooting down undocumented migrants in cold blood, Elon Musk justifying political assassinations, Republican Congressmen calling for deploying atomic bombs in Palestine and elsewhere, etc. Parris himself suggested during the height of the Scamdemic that anyone who knowingly spread COVID-19 should be charged with murder; in other words, he's the very type of character admired by the New Right where people who've actually killed others by trafficking in Fentanyl get Presidential Pardons if their social media following is strong enough. 

       It likewise should come as no surprise that Lancaster is home to several WEF-connected Corporations and Beltway Government contractors like Honeywell, for example, which profited massively from the Scamdemic Mask Mandates. Hence Parris' support for draconian positions during the last State of Emergency. 

      Since Parris brought up the subject of religious beliefs, I wonder how many Christian Conservatives in the US want to defend Parris' faith-based approach of killing off the undesirables with heavy doses of Opioids? Probably a lot do; they've looked the other way at and even applauded every other Barbarity suggested (or actually done) by anybody who acts in the name of the Red Pill. These are the same people who foamed with righteous wrath against characters like Biden and Pelosi who claimed to be Christian while supporting anti-Christian positions, but not a peep out them when our side does it. 

     

    

THEY SAW THE FAT ONE COMING

     The title of today's article is taken from an old 60s Counter-Culture song but seems to be appropriate for the subject matter. The results of a study came out yesterday, which I think that we all saw coming and it speaks volumes about the state of American Culture. 

    "Marijuana use has become so mainstream in the US that the number of Americans who smoke the drug on a daily basis has surpassed the number who consume liquor with the same frequency, a new study has revealed. An estimated 17.7 million Americans used cannabis daily or almost daily in 2022...Prior to the wave of new marijuana laws, daily pot use reached a low point of less than 1 million Americans in 1992. Since then, per-capita rates of regular marijuana use have jumped 15-fold."

   

      Yes, yet another specimen of our exceptional culture that all of our enemies envy and want to destroy. An interesting---and probably not unrelated study that came out last year noted that within that same time frame found that American IQ Scores have been in consistent decline, noting that "test scores in three out of four cognitive domains were going down. This is the first time we’ve seen a consistent negative slope for these testing categories." 

    Before the usual Reactionary crowd starts piping up that this only happens in Liberal Pinko-Blue States, let's take a look at some actual numbers:

    Which would seem to indicate that most hardcore potheads are hardcore Fox News viewers: Minneapolis and Portland being the only Liberal strongholds in the Top Ten cities for Marijuana use. If anybody's interested in seeing some more data, 'Red States' didn't fare very well in deployment of other drugs either. Some of the cities with the lowest per capita drug use included some surprises: the lowest rates recorded in some cities allegedly suffering an "immigrant invasion" of violent drug gangs like Miami and El Paso and a few so-called Sanctuary Cities, for example.

   As we've noted here before, there is a major difference in the potency of Marijuana available since it's gone mainstream and what was circulating underground a few years ago. What's available today is comparable to Hashish in both its effects and potency and studies have shown a distinct correlation between cognitive decline and marijuana use as well as higher levels of intelligence-related birth defects in babies born to using mothers.

   China---which has had a tragic history from drug trafficking---did an in-depth article on the subject of drug abuse in America. Their report noted that "According to a report on the OpenSecrets website in April 2022, the marijuana and cannabis industry spent over $4.2 million lobbying on a variety of issues and legislation in 2021, including the Marijuana Opportunity, Reinvestment, and Expungement (MORE) Act of 2021 which aimed to remove marijuana from the list of federally controlled substances. Amazon also spent $14.5 million funding lobbying activities between April and December in 2021 on a variety of bills, including the MORE Act, read the report. Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.), the sole Republican co-sponsor of the bill, has received more money from the marijuana industry than any other member of Congress with $52,100 in contributions received since his election in 2017." Considering the amount of loot that so-called Conservatives are raking off the Narcotics Industry, we can see why most of their rhetoric is only empty talk and scapegoating. China became the first country to ban high-potency Marijuana derivatives---many of which are available for retail sale in the US---in 2021 and its use except in industrial hemp is also banned. They also noted how our exceptionalism and exporting Democracy has led to social deterioration via narcotics in countries which our Pentagon has 'liberated.'

   

     Today, over 2/3 of Americans favor legalizing Marijuana as opposed to only 1/8 in 1969. The shift has been the result of a massive Media blitz headed by the shylocks on Madison Avenue and billions from Corporate advertising and vested interests. It should come as no surprise that organizations like the World Economic Forum are big promoters of legalization. WEF Agenda Contributor Jeremy Berke, a writer for the sleazy Business Insider praised Canada's legalization efforts in 2018 and hoped that it would pressure the United States to follow suit. Tessa Love, another Agenda Contributor promoting the WEF's 'Green Technology' scams, is editor of Inside.com's Cannabis Newsletter. 

    The question of how we can turn things around is not an easy one. There is no political will to address the problem; and considerable economic and ideological opposition to changing the Status Quo. The problem goes beyond simple recreational use, as the Chinese study pointed out, social malaise is a huge factor. 

    "An increasing number of young people are turning to drugs due to dwindling economic opportunities and the apparent death of the so-called 'American Dream.' Most of them take drugs because they're bored, or because of depression brought about by economic insecurity. Taking drugs allows them to dull the pain from modern American society...Apart from social recession or crises that stimulate drug use at times, the severe inaccessibility to quality education targeting young people is also another contributing factor behind the US' drug abuse problem," experts noted.

   In other words, Marijuana represents a form of Escapism which can be linked culturally to the pervasive apathy and loss of historical perspective seen in the narcissistic culture which lives for the present and has both contempt for its past and sees little hope in the future. The Drug Crisis is a symptom rather the cause of a far deeper spiritual problem rotting the United States from the inside out.

   The Globalist Elites though are happy with the situation. Not only is a stupefied and apathetic population easier to manage and exploit; addiction creates dependence. The ideal state---which our Oligarchy has nearly succeeded in achieving--- is one where social approval is tied to cannabis consumption. In the end, Marijuana use is now directed to its ultimate purpose: creating the illusion of freedom in a culture which no longer values liberty.

     

    

    

   

    

    

    

IT'S ALL CHINA'S FAULT

    The Corporate Media and their RINO-run satellite networks are gnashing their teeth after fiscal reports proved once again that the expert's prognostications were completely wrong---in fact, so wrong that even fudging the numbers didn't help. The imminent collapse of the Chinese economy---which the Elite Media Punditocracy has been predicting since the Obama Administration---again failed to materialize and China reported a First Quarter growth-rate nearly double what the United States could accomplish. Our anemic 2.7% increase itself was offset by mass-layoffs and skyrocketing price inflation. The layoffs have been reflected in the rising numbers of industrial fires, explosions, accidents, broken supply-chains etc. in the US while Corporate Robber Barons and their stakeholders are raking in higher profit-margins. 

   The Administration previous to Xi Jinping's Presidency embarked on a program to invest in building the Chinese economy by turning high profit-margins back into infrastructure and economic development (like we did in this country through most of the 20th Century). Such a plan would be unthinkable in America today where the sense of both betterment of the nation and concern for the future are inconsequential. In fact, in America today, the only class actually planning for the future are the very Financial and Commercial Oligarchs: and their future plans revolve around how they can perpetuate their own wealth and power. 

   Since the American public by and large has become a downtrodden and dispirited race which seethes with envy, those in power need to divert attention from their own crimes and failures onto a convenient scapegoat. China's economic success makes a perfect foil. Instead of seeing our society for what we really are---the despised subjects of a smug, self-appointed Elite---American egotism and narcissism finds it easier to believe that they are being cheated by some external forces over which they have no direct control. Thus, the Official Narrative is that, no matter what happens, it's all China's fault. 

   For example, the US Congress---which seems these days to have little else to do other than hold Hearings---interviewed US airline executives who were complaining of 'unfair competition' from China. In 2022, to virtue-signal that they stood with Ukraine, US airlines stopped flying over Russian airspace. China still does; ergo their Trans-Pacific flights are less expensive and quicker (not to mention having far better travel accommodations). It's all China's fault for offering a better service at a better price. 

   Likewise, in Iowa, Governor Kim Reynolds, who is angling for the GOP Vice-Presidential nomination (because it has to go to a woman or 'person of color') signed a bill aimed at seizing Chinese-owned farmland and prohibiting China from buying any more. Now it's true that China owned only about 265 acres in Iowa, and Governor Reynolds discreetly grandfathered in the 200,000 acres of Canadian-owned farmland and is pushing a Bill to protect German-owned Bayer AG (parent company of Monsanto and WEF Strategic Partner) from liability for using pesticides banned in the EU. But China, not Big Ag, is the real national security threat, or so we're told. 

    

       The list could go on. Congress' 'China Threat of the Week' is the surge in Fentanyl deaths. Highly reliable sources with absolutely no vested interest and decades of intensive and objective research into China are the types feeding information to the Congressional Committee which is co-chaired by Mike Gallagher, an anti-China fanatic, and Raja Krishnamoorthi, a protege of Obama who was notoriously hostile to China. 

    Opioid deaths were going down for the first three years of the Trump Administration. Trump had a joint Opioid Task Force working in cooperation with the Chinese Government. But Americans chose instead to panic over an influenza outbreak and Trump's policies have since been scrapped. Opioid deaths have begun to skyrocket again and, of course, this is all China's fault too. 

   "The fentanyl crisis in the US is entirely self-inflicted, stemming from a prevalent domestic culture of prescription painkiller abuse. Americans, representing only 5 percent of the global population, consume a staggering 80 percent of the world's opiates. Various factors, such as pharmaceutical companies' aggressive marketing tactics, doctors' excessive prescribing practices and the negative impact of marijuana legalization have all fueled the relentless growth of the drug market and ultimately led to the crisis of abuse.

   "Behind the US fentanyl crisis are deep-seated problems with drug regulation, the healthcare system and health education. Yet, in the face of the escalating abuse of fentanyl, US politicians have chosen to shift blame to China, instead of doing something that can be really helpful, such as decreasing domestic drug demand, enhancing prescription drug controls and improving drug education. The current approach not only fails to address the problem, but it may also divert domestic attention away from the issue, and that may be the real purpose of those politicians," said an editorial in the Chinese Media.

   In an election year, of course, no American politician is going to say anything like that. Demanding that the American public take responsibility for its own actions and exposing Big Pharma's and the Prison-Industrial Complex' cynical involvement in the Opioid Crisis would be political (if not literal) suicide for any public figure to state the truth so openly. 

     The Opioid Crisis---and for that matter everything else currently blamed on China---is completely of our own making. If America completely decoupled from China tomorrow, it wouldn't change the Opioid Crisis one iota---any more than shooting down derelict weather balloons had the slightest effect on national security. Experience from the 9/11 Attacks to the Scamdemic have shown (or should have shown us) that our liberties are in extreme danger whenever a national Panic Attack is underway. 

    

   

   

SOME REMARKS ON THE MAINE SHOOTING

      The news was breaking all night about the latest mass-murder, this time in New England around the vicinity of Lewiston, Maine. Like a lot of other towns in this area, Lewiston was once a major industrial center (textiles), which saw its Blue-Collar base eroded by Corporate outsourcing many years ago, and today is a rather gentrified community with few economic opportunities and substandard schools. Those of us who grew up in just about any Northern State east of the Mississippi know this type of town well: some very nice older homes, well-kept parks and cemeteries, boarded-up factories, railroad crossings that haven't seen a train in 20 years, a few chain-stores and gas-stations, and a conspicuous absence of young people and families. No matter where one goes in towns like these, one gets the sense that its better days are long behind it. 

    The suspect or "person of interest in the mass-casualty event," (as postmodern Media Newspeak expresses it), is a male military veteran with a history of mental health problems. He evidently planned this event in some detail and, as of this writing, has managed to elude the police. Not knowing many details, we don't wish to speculate; but if it follows the typical pattern of these kinds of crimes, he's likely either committed suicide or is lying low planning to carry out whatever Phase Two of whatever plan the voices in his head are telling him to do. Police are usually at a disadvantage because crazy people by definition are unpredictable; and police responses and tactics unfortunately are highly predictable. 

   There are two things common to nearly all of these cases, which our Media and Political Class never seem to want to talk about. The first is that they are invariably committed by relatively young men aged 15-45; and there is a high percentage of these men with connections to certain institutions, i.e., schools and the military. Connections to other institutions: government agencies, larger businesses, and churches also frequently appear. The Official Narrative focuses on peripheral things like lack of adequate mental health treatment, access to guns, drugs, and vague definitions of 'extremism;' but nobody discusses why this seems to be affecting only one particular demographic. Many women, the elderly, and others outside this demographic also have poor access to mental health treatment, have access to guns, abuse drugs, and hold extremist positions but they aren't flipping out and gunning down everything in sight. 

   The other interesting thing about male perpetrators in this demographic is that they cut across all racial, economic, and political lines. They're not exclusively lower Middle-Class White males as the Media likes to suggest. For example the Dallas Police massacre was carried out by a young Black man; the Virginia Tech shooting was perpetrated by a young Asian; the Pulse Nightclub shooting was committed by an immigrant. Eliot Rodger and the Aurora 'Joker' Theater shooter came from wealthy backgrounds. Nor are they exclusively Right-Wing extremists; the Oregon College shooting and the Las Vegas massacre were committed by flaming Leftists. 

    If we balance that against other statistics pertaining to young men, we find that among the same demographic, suicides are among the leading cause of death; and crime and addiction rates are very high. We've also noted here many times that younger men increasingly are not interested in fulfilling traditional community roles. Fewer are marrying; fewer are seeking long-term gainful employment, fewer are seeking higher education, and it's also noteworthy that community and political leadership are largely being filled by women or retirees these days.

   When we take those factors into account, we begin to see a clearer picture. Our culture is failing its young men. When men are continually depreciated and marginalized in a society, one of three things is bound to happen: either they drop out altogether and become pot-smoking, apathetic couch-potatoes; or they become limp-wristed, gender-fluid, and submissive; or that bottled-up rage boils over and they either die by their own hand or they grab a weapon and go out and take random others with them. Most are doing the first, but the other two make the headlines. However, it must be understood that those in the latter two categories are symptomatic of the bigger problem. 

  The problem is not guns. The worst mass-murder in America's history was committed by a team of young alienated Arab men who hijacked airliners at knife-point; and the second worst was carried out by a young alienated White man with a bomb. Knives, vehicles, explosives, and poisons have all been used in these attacks. The problem is not extremism. It's totally predictable that alienated people seek out cults and fringe political movements to join with others as alienated and as mentally unstable as they are. Drugs, sexual perversion, and untreated mental illness are likewise antisocial manifestations of alienated characters.

   The fact that institutions like schools and the military figure prominently in the backgrounds of these individuals ought not to be overlooked. Both of those institutions in particular have made it a point to purge themselves of so-called toxic masculinity. A man with any sense of dignity in either one of these institutions finds himself trapped in an existential paradox. Academic achievement or military accomplishments teach him what he is capable of and instills confidence---which is immediately shattered by constant preaching about how worthless he is to society, usually at the hands of some 'superior' who got their authority from anything but merit or achievement. One can imagine the resentment which must build up in some men. 

   Given that the same types of people who control the Official Media Narratives and Counter-Narratives are also people whose jobs aren't based on merit, they certainly aren't willing to discuss Male Alienation and its causes; hence this is another Third Rail Topic---one that isn't supposed to be touched. Besides, mass-violence plays into the Oligarchy's Strategy of Tension: tragedy and gratuitous violence keeps the masses divided and distracted while our so-called 'leadership' can grandstand, do photo-ops, virtue-signal, and pretend as though they're really doing anything. Meanwhile, such events will continue and continue to escalate, while Media ratings soar, the pundits pontificate, and the politicians capitalize---until the next 'crisis' comes along for further exploitation. 

   

   

CHINESE OPIOID EXPOSE FRUSTRATES US DEEP STATE

    Recently, the Beltway Junta has been trying desperately to paper over reports of increasing Opioid fatalities in the United States. As part of their 'depopulation' agenda, of course, the Oligarchy desires this situation, but the situation has reached such proportions that it's become impossible to hide from the general public. So, both the Junta and the Controlled Opposition have agreed upon a narrative blaming China for the problem---much like they blame Russia for spreading 'disinformation' whenever their crimes are publicly exposed in the alternative media.

   With great fanfare and 'bipartisan' support, the nominal United States Government officially listed China as a Major Drug Source Country and imposed several pointless sanctions on Chinese companies making pharmaceutical supplies. This, in spite of the fact that China (unlike the US) bans Fentanyl even as a prescription drug. China's officials have been speaking out against this. In an interview with Wei Xiaojun---head of the Chinese equivalent of the DEA---some rare admissions were made as to the state of the Opioid Crisis in China. While it is fairly severe, it pales in comparison to the American problem---and, unlike the US, China has been making substantial progress in suppressing the illegal drug trade.

   The Global Times also went on to publish an investigative report on the Opioid situation here. Americans have been conditioned by our own Corporate Media to sneer reflexively at anything published by China (as if our Media isn't State-disseminated propaganda itself). The most compelling aspect of this article is that is an outsider's view of corrupt, corporatist Western Culture. If this is indeed  Propaganda that the Chinese Government employs to tell it's citizens what to think of the West, it's a very damning indictment that they don't really need to exaggerate or lie much to make their case that postmodern Western Civilization is a sham Democracy; and that most of us are really just slaves to the Corporate Leviathan that rules over us, and seeks to spread it's Empire of Domination over the entire world. It may be 'anti-American propaganda used to prop up a Communist regime'; but if so, it's certainly effective, because so much of it is based on the truth. In fact, it is noteworthy because it cites sources from our own Government-Media Complex.

   

      

     The report states that "the US is plagued with a drug abuse problem more acute than any other countries as 12 percent of global drug users come from the North American country, two times higher than the proportion of its population. Provisional data indicates that nearly 110,000 Americans died of drug overdoses in 2022, the highest of all time, and more than two-thirds of the deaths involved the powerful synthetic opioid fentanyl, as per US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention." 

    This number was going down under the Trump Administration's Opioid Task Force, incidentally; but Orange Man Bad, and we know the rest of the story. Today, dope-pushers are running free again, while our President-in-Exile may likely end up in jail---a perfect metaphor for Americans' social priorities.

    "US Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo, when visiting China in late August, claimed that US hopes to cooperate with China to tackle the rapidly increasing rates of fentanyl overdoses. However, the country simultaneously keeps scapegoating China on the issue, imposing sanctions and filing criminal charges against Chinese enterprises and individuals."

    It should also be noted that the Trump Administration made an agreement with China to work jointly on eradicating Opium supplies in Afghanistan, and Trump also agreed to end the so-called Freedom of Navigation exercises in the South China Sea so that China could focus more heavily upon suppressing smuggling in the region. The Pentagon ignored both of those orders. 

   China likewise launched military operations in Burma aimed at destroying the Opioid networks illegally operating there. US NGOs backed by George Soros and Bill Gates fought China desperately; framing the narrative as 'ethnic cleansing' against the Burmese Rohingya people---whose population was largely engaged in it. They've promoted a similar narrative against Chinese actions among the Uighurs in Western China who are doing the same things. Coloring anything as 'racist' in the American Media is like a magic incantation---it causes immediate cessation of reasoning. However, that formula never applies when our Media blames all Mexicans for drug trafficking on our Southern Border. 

   The report goes on to trace the sordid history of Big Pharma and US Deep State collusion beginning with the OxyContin scandals of the 1990s. "The pharmaceutical company Purdue Pharma colluded with US medicinal regulators and developed aggressive marketing tactics to promote its brand name product OxyContin, an extended-release form of Oxycodone, as less likely to cause addiction, raking in tens of millions of dollars. The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), charged with the responsibility of prescription drug use regulation, gave OxyContin the green light in 1995 even though neither long-term studies nor assessments of its addictive capabilities had been thoroughly conducted."

   I well remember this scandal, and that several officials within the Clinton Co-Presidency were implicated, as noted in the report: 

  "Two principal FDA reviewers who originally approved Purdue's application took positions at the company after leaving the agency. In the following two decades, more FDA staffers involved in opioid approvals left the FDA to work for opioid makers, according to the American Medical Association Journal of Ethics. Purdue offered kickbacks, paid lecturers, and organized free seminar vacations to doctors to incentivize them to prescribe OxyContin, leading to a tenfold increase in prescriptions for less serious pain, from about 670,000 in 1997 to about 6.2 million in 2002."    

  Purdue is now an insolvent corporation; it was formerly headed by a billionaire 'woke capitalist.' (Sound familiar?) The case is still in litigation, mostly over corrupt CEOs and Federal bureaucrats trying to protect their assets. Of course, nobody in our Mainstream Media is going to talk about the revolving-door bureaucracy, 'woke capitalists' in Big Pharma---or about the obvious fact that, coupled with the stated 'population control' agenda of these interests---that our drug crisis is part and parcel of a deliberate, Corporate-Government organized system encouraging addiction and overdose deaths. So, who is the real party here engaging in Ethnic Cleansing and Genocide?

   The report also notes the collusion of the Insurance Cartels in promoting the epidemic: "Most insurance, especially for poor people, won't pay for anything but a pill," said Judith Feinberg, a professor at West Virginia University with expertise in infectious diseases associated with drug injection. The US Department of Health and Human Services estimated that about 11 million people in the US consume Oxycodone in a non-medical way annually." 

   In the American Healthcare System, cost-effectiveness has replaced what was once personal care. Medical personnel once felt a responsibility for their patients; today, the primary responsibility is to profit the 'stakeholders' in the Insurance Cartels. Patients are simply commodities. Needless to say, actual treatment for addictions is not an especially high priority to these people. That matter they leave up to their corporate cronies in the Prison-Industrial Complex. 

   "Addicts are not redeemed." the report notes, "The large, ever-expanding group of drug dependence, without proper social support and intervention, easily became the victims of new, more powerful drugs. Fentanyl, a synthetic opioid which is also FDA-approved, is up to 50 and 100 times stronger than heroine and morphine respectively. Fentanyl, the cheaper to make yet more lethal drug and its close cousins became the biggest drug-related killers in the US in 2016, the Associated Press reported."

     The Trump Administration did make an effort to focus on treatment for addicts, despite considerable obstruction and bristling, even from members of his own Party. Trump's policy cut too deeply into too many profit-margins and since has been scrapped. 

    The very notion of investing in treatment programs often brings a firestorm of fury from many on the Postmodern Right. "No way! Why should we be taxed to pay for someone else's poor lifestyle choices?!?" is one common refrain heard. Aside from the humanitarian aspect---which seems to matter very little to today's new breed of Conservatism anyway---it doesn't occur to anybody that we're already paying a lot for overpriced, for-profit prisons, the crimes committed to support drug habits, and declining quality-of-life in general. Sadly, it's doubtful that such arguments carry much weight. 'Justice' in America today is really more focused on retaliation, revenge, and scapegoating; and advocating rehabilitation is seen as being a soft-on-crime weenie. Contrary to American Media propaganda, incidentally, the Chinese Justice System prioritizes treatment for drug-offenders. 

    

    "With around 4 percent of the world's population, the US consumes 80 percent of the world's opioids. Why is the US? 

    "The US' drug problem, including the current fentanyl abuse crisis, is deeply rooted in the country's lobbying political structure and ideology, said Zhang Yifei, an associate research fellow at the Institute of American Studies under the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. The colossal profits bundle pharmaceutical companies with the FDA, sponsored politicians, academic groups, and the media, making the fentanyl crisis a predictable tragedy in the US that has enriched a few at the expense of many lives lost.

    "Academic institutions provide 'scientific proof,' media and think tanks propagate said proof, and drug makers lobby the government - this is a very complete and mature chain, Zhang elaborated, 'They have various ways to exchange rights and interests through the Revolving Door system.'  

   "Zhang also pointed to 'the pan-liberalism trend in the US, which emphasizes the absolute freedom of individuals.' US governments, be they federal or state, are incapable of exercising effective regulation on many issues, although some of them, like drugs, have endangered the public."  

    Sadly, I don't think that one can argue with any of Zhang's assessment. In fact, it could be added that the American population in general isn't exactly making it difficult for exploitative corporations and corrupt politicians to get away with their criminal activities. Despite annual six-figure casualties from narcotics, the Drug Crisis doesn't even crack the top 10 of voter concerns.  

   As the report showed---and many of us recall---the Opioid Epidemic began first with Big Pharma in the 1990s, and surged after the US Occupation of Afghanistan. According to official sources, "from 1999 to 2017, more than 399,000 people died from drug overdoses that involved prescription and illicit opioids. Those addicted to opioids, both legal and illegal, are increasingly young, white, and female, with 1.2 million women addicted compared to 0.9 million men in 2015. The problem is worse in rural areas." Just as the 'Cocaine Epidemic' of the Bush-Clinton Era  proliferated narcotics among Black Communities, the Opioid Crisis of the Bush Jr-Obama Era targets the White working-class. 

    After the Biden 'Administration' seized power, Afghanistan was abandoned due to increasing anti-drug actions in the region---mostly by China and Iran. Operations were brought back to the United States and compromised Latin American countries. With the downfall of the Trump Justice Department and a complete stranglehold on the American Media, the Oligarchy has no fear of exposure. Since 2021, Opioid overdoses and addiction rates have returned to, and even surpassed pre-2017 levels. 

    The American drug epidemic is the result of an orchestrated policy, the Strategy of Tension, the Depopulation Agenda, and cultivating anti-China sentiments. Most importantly, though, it is also a product of our own making. The American public---which sees the effect of the crisis before its own eyes every day---continues pretending not to see, and so it goes along unabated. 

 

JUST A BOMBING, NOTHING TO SEE HERE FOLKS

       So, last Friday, a massive fire broke out in a bum jungle homeless encampment in Seattle, Washington. Now, while to our foreign readers this may seem like shocking news, such events are fairly common in our exceptional paradise that you're supposed to look up to as the world's role model. The fire took place in what's ridiculously termed here as a 'green space' on East Jefferson Street. This is in a part of Seattle that was once an upscale neighborhood called Yesler Terrace and was a few hundred feet from both Interstate Highway 5 and the largest medical facility in the Northwest, Harborview Hospital. 

    Investigators learned over the weekend, the fire was actually the result of a bombing. Apparently, a tent where Fentanyl was being distributed was targeted by a rival drug gang. Unfortunately one of the dealers spotted the device before the explosion, and the pushers escaped, although gunfire reportedly was exchanged. Oh well: at least it was close to a hospital in case there were casualties, though I'd hate to be a patient there with gangs bombing and shooting each other outside the window. Sadly, too, a number of valuable trees were destroyed.

    The mayor of Seattle belatedly decided that it was time to clean out the area and prohibit camping there. Better late than never, we suppose. 

     Here in the exceptional United States, there are an estimated 12,000 'homeless' in Seattle alone; with jungles just like these all down the I-5 Corridor from Bellingham to the California Bay Area. The US Government estimates around 600,000 such cases nationwide; the West Coast alone has about 40% of them. Let's note the numbers in the Pacific Northwest:

Washington: 23,000

Oregon: 15,000

Idaho: 3,000

Alaska: 2,000

    Somehow, it seems as though---given the billions spent on the Military-Industrial Complex to defend black budget sites like Ukraine and Taiwan---that dealing with about 45,000 displaced persons shouldn't be that difficult. Consider that a country as financially strapped as North Korea managed to do it recently in under four months. As an interesting side-note, North Korea doesn't seem to have much of a problem with fentanyl-trafficking gangs blowing up infrastructure in their major cities either. Why can't we deal with it?

     In contrast here in the land of the Ameroboob, we're more focused upon indicting or impeaching each other's leaders than wiping out crime or eliminating poverty. It's a higher cultural value over here to one up the other guy and not be overly concerned with society's losers, even when such terrorism on our city streets is very clearly being orchestrated. The crime and poverty rampant in our Western cities is not accidental at all; it's there by design and grows worse also by deliberate intention---though the policy is greatly facilitated by public apathy and selfish interest. Part of the agenda of the Great Reset is building back better with high-tech concentration camps 'smart cities' and nothing will make people want them more than making our current cities hopelessly unlivable. The human lives washed out by dope and gang violence in the meantime are only collateral damage---pawns to be sacrificed for the greater glory of the Global Financial and Commercial Elite.

    As for the City of Seattle, it isn't going to fix anything and it's not intended that it should. Situations like we saw on Jefferson Street are going to continue and worsen until the American pull their heads out of their dope and media-induced stupors and start standing up to these Great Reset clowns. But nobody's holding their breath waiting for that to happen.

    

RULE BY REASON...OR NOT

      A debate of sorts has popped up in our corner of the Blogosphere recently about the relative position of reason and emotion driving social thought these days. It's an old debate, one side argues essentially that emotion (or intuition) can tell us things beyond what our reason can grasp, there is truth to that. The other side argues that perception frequently doesn't equal reality, and there's truth to that view also. Human beings are mixture of the two: emotions are often instinctual and act as a check on cold reason, while reason is developed to solve problems and seek solutions. In our structure of complimentary genders, it's noted that each gender has a particular strength towards one or the other. 

   As for the debate itself, my position might surprise some, but I believe that in our postmodern society---which I don't by any means believe is an advanced one---is that neither reason nor emotion is driving much of anything. To set this up, let's look at an assessment of postmodern American culture that I published a few weeks ago:

   "Postmodern Americans, by and large, are an ignorant and spiritless race, where the Rule of Law is no longer respected but instead people are governed entirely by the arbitrary will of a handful of petty political satraps who rule over them for the sole purpose of sponging from them as large a share of their property and production as possible to support the grandees in Supranational Commerce...

  "Utterly apathetic to either political or social affairs, and considering ourselves (as we really are) the despised subjects and de facto slaves of the Moneyed Interests, we have no national or community spirit to keep from falling into the most degraded intellectual poverty and moral degeneracy imaginable. In fact, all throughout human history and even in most of the world today it would be difficult to find a nation more devoid of character than the 21st Century United States has produced...

  "The current race of Americans are always agog for anything novel or scandalous in sexuality and also for new and increasingly potent narcotics: if news headlines and the entertainment media are any indication, they seem to care for little else. In this depressing atmosphere, these credulous fools are easily imposed upon by celebrities, influencers, or any con-artist who knows how to 'work' a crowd."

     Concerning reason; we only need consider the depressing fact that the top-selling new technology in America in 2023 is Artificial Intelligence. The very idea that we actually need machines to tell us what to think or what decisions to make speaks volumes. We're not talking here about machines of convenience: computers which can calculate complicated mathematical formulae, online archives or encyclopedias and such. A great example is the so-called smart home, where apparently a computer can take over such complex tasks as operating dials, switches, faucets, etc. They can even enforce Cancel Culture in some instances. 

    AI is even being widely deployed in relationships---Heaven forbid one should have their own tastes and interests. Not surprisingly, even AI partners are starting to be reported. 

    Reason is a very personal thing; and we're obviously a culture which doesn't rely very heavily upon it. I've literally seen people standing outside in the rain checking their smartphones for a weather report. For the most part, no one will have an unqualified opinion on anything unless 'experts' tell them they should. Who's paying these experts or what their agendas might be, no asks nor cares to know. In cases like the recent submarine disaster or the numbers of casualties from the Loyalty Vaxx, this rejection of reason sometimes has fatal consequences.

  What about feelings and emotions? Many Conservative pundits argue that our culture is too 'feelings-driven.' I disbelieve that. I don't believe that feelings play any more part in our collective national meltdown than Reason does. As evidence of this, consider Americans' astronomical rates of narcotics consumption and addiction (both the illegal and prescription varieties). Narcotics are designed to blunt emotions and feelings. 

  Many of the Conservative critics of 'feelings' are mistaking cause-and-effect. They mistake the hysteria and outrage often exhibited by the Whacko Left Wing (although there are expressions of it on the Right too) as a genuine outpouring of sincerely felt emotions. That's not what it is at all: to put it bluntly, it's mob psychology reinforced by mass and social media. In other words, it's feelings by consensus. 

   

   The last three years have shown hysterical reactions to carefully managed viral stories from the Floyd Riots to the 'I Stand with Ukraine' nonsense resulting in all sorts of chaos. It's obvious that nearly everyone engaging in these outbursts were impervious to reason; but it doesn't follow that they blindly were following their feelings. They were simply reacting. The reaction came because others were reacting, and if everyone's terrified of a Chinese weather balloon---that's simply how one is supposed to feel.  Just as Ameroboobs are content to let others do their thinking for them, they let everyone do their feeling for them as well. 

   This largely postmodern phenomenon of Consensus-driven culture is a self-reinforcing loop. That's why controlling the narrative is a concept so important to our would-be cultural elite. Pay off some 'experts' and manipulate a few algorithms and one can run the table with no regard for either reason or feelings because they effectively control both. Anybody who actually thinks or feels gets marginalized as a crank because---everybody, including the experts, all agree.

  So it's not really a contest anymore about Reason or Emotion, it's getting people at large to start using both again. How we do that, I don't know. 

THE RAT RACE

      To give sort of a background here, in 2019 I moved to a smaller rural community. It's really something of a truck-stop town, along a major highway and surrounded by some of the few small farms and shrinking timber industry left in America. Now, once upon a time, the State was an agricultural and timber-producing power in the US. We produced more apples, cherries, and peaches than the rest of the world combined; and were in the top 10 states producing potatoes, grain, berries, and onions. 

   Today, a few orchards have converted into wineries; while Willy Gates and Jeff Bezos have bought up most of the distressed farmlands. Our local supermarkets are seeing dwindling supplies of meats, dairy products, eggs, and fish (with correspondingly high prices). The shelf spaces are being filled with synthetic and plant-based 'substitutes'---produced by companies which are owned by the aforementioned Gates and Bezos. That doesn't mean our Ag Industry is dead: Marijuana is by far the leading cash-crop. We have one '420 Store' in town and two businesses catering supplies to home-growers. They do thriving business, while two of our small grocers recently went out of business.

   

      While Gates and Bezos are rats in their own way, we're discussing today the actual animal. Not long after the weather began turning nice, I began seeing rats around the place. They're always a nuisance anywhere, but it was unusual to see them in the daytime. They started creating problems out in the garden, and I realized that I hadn't been seeing many of their natural predators (e.g. raccoons, possums, hawks, snakes, etc) around lately. Also, their main competitors for food (e.g. squirrels, birds) also seemed more scarce.

    Lately these critters seem to have become more bold and aggressive: they've made a couple of raids in the house and I even saw one jump through an open window. Wondering where these things are coming from, I suspected the neighbor. They're known marijuana-growers (totally licensed and legal of course); and I think we all know that potheads don't typically have the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. 

   So I dropped by and sure enough there was plenty of trash around but not really enough to start an infestation. I mentioned the rat problem to one of the guys and he said, yes they've had the same issue. He took me to his growing room and solemnly showed me a special tent where they grew plants for seed. The rats, he explained, had gnawed their way into the tent and were eating the seeds.

   That told me all that I needed to know right there. Marijuana plants produce a flower which has concentrated levels of THC and is source of the high-potency products sold today. These flowers can be left to form a seed-pod which is even more concentrated. It's like some of the mid-20th Century anti-drug ads used to say: "Marijuana can turn a mouse into a maneater," and that's exactly what's happening. 

   Somewhere in this story is a commentary on the state of our society, but I'll let the readers draw their own conclusions on that one. 

    I wish that we could say that this is a purely personal or local anecdote, but sadly, we can't. There was a story recently about some biologists who were finding that geese and seagulls on area beaches were ingesting marijuana products discarded by beachgoers. Today, people who use pot products on the beaches are occasionally being attacked by these birds---eager to get their 'fix.' I've heard many stories of people in city parks suddenly attacked by raccoons and squirrels---which are normally not overly aggressive. 

   Our State has had more than one fishery closed by Federal inspectors because the levels of drugs in the water made the salmon unfit for consumption. A veterinarian told me recently that across the US (and in his own practice) there's been a surge the last few years of animals brought in and diagnosed with Narcosis from exposure to high-THC marijuana products. It's not only dogs and cats either. Out here in farm country, he told me that he's run across drug-poisoning cases in cattle and horses. 

   During the Trump Administration, there was a study done on the pollution and environmental impact of Marijuana growing and use on the West Coast. There were some steps taken to start cleaning up, but Orange Man Bad; and the rest is history. It was bad enough dealing with hop-headed psychos on the city streets, now we have deal with amped-up rats and seagulls and heaven-only-knows what else. Does anyone suppose all of these 'Green' Whackos on the Far Left are going to concern themselves with any of this? Somehow I can't bring myself to believe that people who promote Drag Queens in Kindergartens are going to lose much sleep over poisoning the environment with dope. They'll just go on at the Hookah Lounge, grabbing a soy-burger with synthetic cheese if they get 'the munchies' (i.e. their bodies reminding them that they need to eat); and patting themselves on the back for reducing their carbon footprint.
