FROM UPSIDE-DOWN CLOWN WORLD

So, I had occasion yesterday to travel to one our country's specimens of Urban Decay and, as I well remember the place, Downtown was tied up with demonstrations. This time, they were arguing about the situation in the Middle East. On one side were black-masked Left-Wing Whackos with Palestinian flags who were insisting that Hamas would welcome late-term abortion and homo 'equality' should they emerge victorious. On the other side were a bunch waving Israeli flags and insisting that Conservatives support a Fascist police state that persecutes Christians. Dodging all of the tents lining the sidewalk and trying not to step on hypodermics or human excrement; past the boarded-up buildings---and then wondering why they were battling over two other countries 5,000 miles away when their own neighborhoods are unfit for civilized people to live in.

Our Congress too seems to be a reflection of this kind of weird thinking. Right now, they are stalling funding to support another Fascist anti-Christian Regime in Ukraine unless the Junta does something about the Southern Border. What exactly they want them to do isn't specified; presumably they don't want the Military-Industrial Complex to be grabbing all the pie when the Security State Apparatus wants a slice too. Not to worry, Zelensky's Stand-With-Ukraine friends in the GOP will come through for him in the end; today's Conservatives aren't known for standing on principle when Big Business interests are at stake.

If one pays close attention to these trends, it's becoming apparent that the Neocons are starting to get a little nervous about the situation in Palestine too. Despite being heavily out-manned and out-equipped, Hamas has inflicted heavy casualties on the Zionists and after now two and a half months the Regime has made little progress in subduing the Gaza Strip. The unparalleled barbarity inflicted on the Arabs by the Zionists have strengthened Palestinian resolve. Would that the rest of the world would show more resolve. Spain became the latest nation to break relations with Israel, but it is going to take more than recalling diplomats and passing UN resolutions to put a stop to this.

Militarily, the only country that's come to Palestine's aid is Yemen---which despite unquestioned Yemeni courage is not exactly a global military power-house. A military solution at this point really isn't an option as long as the US Deep State keeps pumping weapons and cash into the Zionist Regime. The region is a powder-keg waiting for one global power to cross an unspoken Red Line and everybody knows it.

The Third Rail in this whole situation---a topic that no media anywhere is talking about---is that Israel has a stockpile of at least 100 atomic weapons and these nuclear weapons are in the hands of bunch of psychopathic maniacs who are completely unpredictable. Our own Deep State probably doesn't actually know the quantity or quality of what their counterparts in Tel Aviv possess.

Going back to the Cold War years---and even into the present in some regions---nuclear policy was based on the principle of Mutually Assured Destruction. The MAD Doctrine primarily was/is a deterrent policy since it was apparent that neither side would 'win' an atomic war without destroying itself if not a great portion of the planet. As Albert Einstein said, "The Third World War will be fought with nuclear warheads, the Fourth World War will be fought with clubs and spears."

The unspoken reality of the situation in Palestine is that the MAD System has broken down. This was the greatest fear of the Post-WW2 world: that somebody who was insane enough not to be deterred by the consequences of atomic war would have access to them. The negligence of Western Powers let this happen; but it's no use going over History since it's now a present reality.

At this Christmas Season, I really wish that I was like most American pundits and have all the answers, but for this one, I really haven't and I doubt that anyone else has either. Even organizing a coup from within the IDF would be risky because there is no guarantee that it would succeed and we don't really know what kinds of fail-safes or control of these weapons that the Zionists have in place. Given the character of the Netanyahu Regime, I would guess that the people in charge of deployment are the biggest fanatics with the least regard for human life in the whole establishment.

Probably at no time in recent history have we ever needed faith like we do now. Sadly, at least here in the exceptional United States, the Churchian Right is dominating the religious discourse and egging on the Zionists to commit even greater outrages. The International Christian Embassy in Jerusalem issued a statement typical of them: “This attack is without a doubt rooted in the demonic realm as a manifestation of the Spirit of Amalek,” referencing the story of the prophet Samuel who relates that the Israelites “burned [the Amalekites’ city] with fire; and their wives, and their sons, and their daughters, were taken captives.”

Given the way that Mainstream American churches bravely stood up to the Scamdemic lockdowns, the hope that they will stand against the Churchian Right doesn't appear especially likely either. But fortunately---despite what the Churchian Right seems to believe---the United States doesn't have a monopoly on the world's Christians, and others are stepping up and speaking out. A famous Christian precept has always been "by their fruits you shall know them." Those who profess to be Christians and celebrate the bombings of churches and the slaughter of innocent children ought to be viewed with some skepticism, to put it mildly.
