CNN HOST SUFFERS TDS ATTACK ON SET

Excluding the dozen or so readers who actually still follow the Corporate Media, probably not many of us know much about CNN host Jake Tapper. Apparently he's some kind of poobah among the anti-Trump media crowd. At any rate, he was called upon to interview Trump aide Stephen Miller about the Fire and Fury book. We examined the credibility of that book a few days ago. But Jake Tapper and Fire and Fury author Michael Wolff are cut from the same cloth.

Predictably, the interview didn't go well for Tapper; and the repeated mention of the President's name triggered him into an attack of Trump Derangement Syndrome. Tapper went berserk as Miller reeled off a list of Trump's accomplishments and finally terminated the interview before breaking down completely on-camera. CNN Security had to remove Miller for his own safety; as Tapper was reportedly throwing objects around the room; screaming obscenities, beat his fists on the table. CNN staff managed to calm the irate host---how was not specified.

The Corporate Media rallied around Tapper while Conservative blogs are praising Miller for standing up for Trump. After watching the interview, I do think that Tapper got baited; but professional journalists of yesteryear knew how to deal with these things. He really couldn't answer Miller; both because he's an incompetent interviewer and because Miller was stating indisputable facts.

Like many other celebrity-journalists, Tapper has no background in media. He was a former Democrat congressional aide; worked for a few lobbying firms; and held a position for some gun-control group before coming to CNN. Despite that, CNN pays him $300,000 per year. And their ratings show it: they have lower viewership than Cartoon Network, according to some sources.

The fact is simply that the MSM is carrying fake news, and has been faking it for some time. This is the kind of thing they've got to stop if they ever hope to regain the public trust. Nobody is going to take people like Tapper seriously if they act more like pro-wrestling announcers instead of investigative reporters. In other words, they need to stop pandering to Trash Culture and start focusing on their jobs.
